本单元话题为环境保护本单元出现的动词词组，紧密结合重点句型“We should /shouldn’t…”在教学中教师可以创设多种情境，如调查环境现状、认识环保相关标识、制作环保海报、开展环保主题辩论会等，创设多种对话语境，采用小组讨论或完成任务的形式，让学生运用本单元的单词和句型来了解环保应该做什么，不应该做什么。
