四、语法
1. a和an的区别
a和an在英语中被称为不定冠词，表示数量“一”，一般情况下，a用在辅音音素前，an用在元音音素前。如：an elephant, 第一个字母a发[e]，属于元音音素，前面用an，而a cat这个单词的第一个字母c发音为[k]，属于辅音音素，前面用a。
2. Mr, Mrs和Miss的区别
Mr指男士，翻译成“先生”，它通常用在所有男士的姓或姓名前面，如Mr Black；Mrs指已婚女士，翻译成“太太” 或“夫人”，如Mrs Green；Miss 指未婚女子，翻译成“小姐”，如Miss Ji。

3. 名词的单复数
名词可以分为可数名词和不可数名词。而可数名词又可以分为单数和复数。当可数名词的数量为两个或两个以上时，就需要用名词的复数形式。
4. I can see a …/some…
can意思是“能够”，叫做情态动词，后面通常加动词原形。当看到数量为一的东西时，可以说：I can see a/an…而当看到数量为两个或两个以上的东西时，应该说：I can see some…
5. 人称代词
人称代词是用来代替某个人的词，主要有I(我)，you(你，你们)，he(他)，she (她)，通常放在句子的开头作主语。在英语中，放在名词前面修饰名词的代词叫做形容词性物主代词，my我的)，your(你的，你们的)，his(他的)，her(她的)。
6. ‘s的用法
在英语中，’s有两种基本用法：(1)’s是is的省略形式，如：It’s=It is;(2)放在人名后面，构成名词所有格，修饰后面的名词，表示后面的名词是前面这个人所拥有的，如：Jim’s father(吉姆的爸爸)， Kate’s dress(凯特的裙子)。
7. open, close和turn on, turn off
open, close是指与电源、水源无关的开和关，turn on，turn off是指与电源、水源有关的开和关。
8. be动词的用法
在英语中，be动词可以随着主语的变化而变化为这三种：am, is, are。顺口溜：我用am，你用are，is用在他她它，凡是复数都用are。
9.It’s time 后面的两种跟法
(1)+to+动词原形；(2)+for+名词；如：It’s time to have lunch. 也可以这样表达：It’s time for lunch.
10. How many…? 的用法
How many是提问“有多少”的一个特殊疑问句，后面必须跟名词的复数，而且这个名词的复数不受答句的影响。如：—How many pencils do you have? —Only one.
11. Excuse me与Sorry的区别
Excuse me用于自己要做的事情或要说的话有可能会引起对方的不方便，通常解释为“抱歉”，“打扰了”。而Sorry则用于自己已经做错了事，向别人道歉。
12. What about…？是用来征求别人意见的，询问别人觉得怎么样。
13. play the piano和play football
一般情况下，play跟乐器类的时候要在后面加the，而跟球类则不加the。如：play the violin/guitar，play football/volleyball，另外，play后面也可以直接跟棋、牌类，不加the，如：play cards，play chess。
