同学们：
distinguishedleadersandguests，respectedschoolfellows，teachers，students：今天，我们欢聚江安河畔，隆重举行庆祝四川大学建校110周年大会，共同见证四川大学110年的光荣历史，共同领略这所世纪名校的厚重历史与青春活力，共同祝福她更加美好而辉煌的明天。

itisanvaluablehonoraswellasresponsibilityandmissionformetogiveaspeechhereasthepresidentofsichuanuniversity.大学的生命在于大学精神。大学精神是大学活力常在、青春永驻的不竭源泉。翻开川大历史，处处都能感受到精神的魅力、理性的光芒。四川大学之所以能够历经沧桑而走向辉煌，得益于她孕育了以“海纳百川有容乃大”和“严谨、勤奋、求是、创新”为核心的川大精神。
从1903-1909年胡峻校长制定的“仰副国家，造就通才”，到1922-1924年吴玉章校长提出的“崇尚学术，启用新派”，从1926-1930年张澜校长倡导的“学术自由，兼容并包”，到1933-1946年张凌高校长实行的“培养高尚品格，教授高深学术，造就专门人才，适应社会需要”……在历代川大老校长们的精辟概括和深遂思考中，始终蕴含着一个恒久不变、一脉相传的价值取向，这就是涵乾纳坤的宏大气魄，追求真理的崇高境界，报效祖国的赤子情怀。这种价值取向，集中体现了川大人对科学的态度，对社会的责任和对理想的追求……今天，我们响亮地提出崇尚学术，追求卓越”和“厚德博学，虚心从善”的理念和精神，正是对学校传统精神的继承和弘扬。……
大学的天职在于人材培养。大学的价值要得到社会的认可，就必须培养社会需要的人才，这是衡量大学对国家、对社会贡献大小的重要尺度。四川大学是在教育救国的历史背景下诞生的，输入世界智识，创获现代智慧，光大科学文明，培养杰出英才是四川大学始终不渝的理想和追求。在中国特别是西部地区高等教育发展史上，川大人书写了自己辉煌的篇章，创造了很多第一：在中国，1911年建立的华西协合牙科医院，第一个开创了现代口腔医学及教育，成为中国现代口腔医学的发源地；1936年开始招收研究生，成为中国第一批培养研究生的大学之一；1953年，创建了全国第一个高分子专业；1992年，第一个在全国高校中获得宗教学博士学位授权点……。在西南，川大于1906年第一个开办了现代体育教育，1910年第一个实施了现代通识教育，1910年第一个引进外籍教师来校教学，1914年第一个设立了系统的英语课程……。110年来，川大先后汇聚了文学家李劼人、物理学家吴大猷、生物学家童第周、历史学家顾颉刚、哲学家冯友兰、美学家朱光潜、中国最杰出的植物学家方文培、中国公共卫生之父陈志潜、中国近代数论的创始人柯召、中国高分子学科创建者徐僖等等大师巨匠，他们广育英才，德渥群芳。历史上，从川大校园走出来的朱德元帅，成为了共和国的开国元勋；郭沫若、巴金成为了文坛巨匠；江竹筠、毛英才成为了感动中国、感动世界的一代英烈；川大培养的第一位女博士乐以成，成为了中国现代妇产科学的开拓者和先驱。在今天，毕业于我们校园的84级校友宋永华，在留英华人中第一个当选为英国皇家工程院院士，并成为布鲁奈尔大学副校长。

尊敬的各位嘉宾，女士们、先生们：
大家好。
金秋的高唐，秋水与长天一色，硕果共金风摇枝。在这收获的季节里，我和中国书协赵长青主席，胡抗美、朱培尔理事以及我校艺术学院的吕金光教授，有幸来参加第五届中国高唐书画博览会暨兰亭奖获奖名家作品邀请展。书画博览会不仅是XX县区文化事业和文化产业发展进程中的一件大事和喜事，也是我国书画界的一件盛事。我谨代表四川大学和一同前来的同仁们向这次活动表示热烈的祝贺。高唐这个文化部命名的中国书画艺术之乡，名副其实。汉代鲁相乙
