dimensions of the pilot RMG 630 a.Our brochure General Operating Instructions for Gas Pressure Regulators and Safety Devices will be useful tofit the pilot into the line,put it into service and find faults that might disturb the operation.The construction,set-up,supervision and maintenance of gas pressure regulating stations are subject to specialtechnical rules which should be strictly observed,in particular those given by the DVGW Worksheets G 490,G 491,and G 495.The frequency of periodical maintenance to be foreseen for the pilot RMG 630 a should be determined according to the prevailing service conditions and the type and composition of the gaseous medium.We,therefore,abstain from imposing any fixed intervals and would rather refer you to the recommendations given by the DVGW Worksheet G 495.For maintenance all parts are to be cleaned and subjected to a thorough visual inspection.A visual inspection should not be omitted when the course of operation or performance tests have shown lack of regulating accuracy.Particular care should be given to the checking of sealings and diaphragmsas well as of all carrying and movableparts.Damaged parts should be replaced by new ones.The item numbers referred to in the maintenance instructions are identical with those of spare parts drawings and spare parts lists.We recommend to keep all parts that are specially marked in the spare parts lists in stock for prompt maintenanceavailability.630.20 p.22.Special Operating Instructions2.1 Start-up valveDepending on size,the gas pressure regulators RMG 402/502/503 are provided with a start-up valve to facilitate a quick pressure compensation to be effected at the regulations diaphragm upon pressurization.The following regulators wil be provided with a start-up valve:Before pressurizing open the start-up valve.After pressurizing close the start-up valve.2.2 Adjusting the load limiting pressureRMG 402RMG 502/503from DN 50 with pilot RMG 630a/640from DN 80 with pilot RMG 620/630a/640DN 80/150,100/200RMG 502,503approx 10-15 barRMG 402approx 5-10 barThe level of the adjusted load limiting pressure exerts a great influence on the regulating accuracy of the pilot.In the order to reach a high regulating accuracy combined with a low closing pressure the load limiting pressure should be raised to such a level as would not prejudice the operational stability of the gas pressure regulating station.We recommend to set the load limiting pressure as follows:Load limiting setpoint level abovethe outlet pressure with regulators3.Special maintenance InstructionsPre-formed
