23、nowledgeanddifferentiatetheirowncareergoalsfromtheirparents#39;goals.Goodparentingcanhelpparentstomakegoodemotionalkidsandhaveahappyfamily.Theauthoritativestylebalancesclear,highexpectationswithemotionalsupportandrecognitionofchildren#39;sautonomy.Childrenassociatedwiththiskindoffamilyarehappy,cheer
24、ful,self-controlledandcopewithstress.Theyhavefewerbehaviorproblems,andarebetterabletobouncebackfromdistressingexperiences.Childrencandobetterintermsofacademicachievement,health,andpeerrelationships.Gottmanbelieves“thechildrenwholearntoacknowledgeandmastertheiremotionsaremoreself-confidentaswellasphy
