1. Push V 按，摁，推； N 推
Eg. 1. She pushed it and soon Grandpa opened the door.
2. He gave me a sharp push.

2. Newspaper = papers 报纸（可数名词）
Paper 纸张，白纸（不可数名词）
Everywhere = here and there 到处，处处
Eg. They went inside and saw newspapers everywhere.

3. Follow 跟随，跟着人（物）去（来）
Eg. The children followed her into the living room.

4. Hardly & hard
Hardly 几乎不（副词）
Eg. There was hardly any space for the children to sit down.
Hard 坚硬的，刻苦的，困难的（形容词）； 努力地，猛烈地（副词）
Eg. I feel something very hard.

5. Ours 我们的东西（名词性物主代词）

6. Both & all （放在be 动词，助动词之后，行为动词之前）
Both 两者都 eg. Mary and Lucy are both my friends.
All 三者或以上都 eg. I like all your collections.

7. free 空闲的，自由的，免费的
Eg. We have a lot of free time.
All the food is free.

8. Waste 浪费 N/V
Eg. Collecting puter games is a waste of time.
Don't waste your time any more.

9. Be interested in+ N / V-ing 对... 感兴趣
Eg. I am interested in singing.
注意区分 interested & interesting, surprising $ surprised, exciting $ excited

10. Be bad for.....对...有害
常用于句型： doing sth is bad for...../ It's bad for sb to do sth
Eg. It's bad for you to eat too much fast food.

11. Work 作品，著作（可数名词）；工作（不可数名词）
Eg. I like reading the works of Lu Xun.
注意 homework, housework均为不可数名词

12. Look for 寻找，表示过程；
Find 找到，表示结果
Eg. I looked for my pen everywhere, at last I found it beside the TV.

13. Over= more than 超过
Eg. I have over 100 stamps.

14. Learn about 了解，得知
Eg. I learned something about cooking.

15. A lot $ a lot of
A lot 表程度，可修饰动词，后面不能加名词。
Eg. He know China a lot.
A lot of = lots of 大量的，许多的, 可以加可数和不可数名词。
Eg. He has a lot of pens.

Part 4 Key sentences
1. Let' s have some tea.
Let's do sth让我们做.....吧，表建议或发出邀请。

2. So you shouldn't spend too much time collecting things.
Too much + 不可数名词； Too many + 可数名词
Sb + spend + 时间/金钱+ (in) doing sth
Sb + spend + 时间/金钱+ on sth

3. My teacher told me (that) it's bad for the environment.(宾语从句)

4. Collecting puter games is a waste of time.(动名词做主语，谓语动词用第三人称单数）

5. I'm happy (that) he is interested in something. (Be happy/ glad/ angry/ pleased /....that)

6. I see.= I know.

7. What does David think of collecting ?
What do you think of sth/ sb?= How do you like sth/sb 你认为.....怎么样？

8. This made me more interested in Chinese culture.
