Teaching plan 必修4Unit2    V-ing as subject and object 霍城二中  黄雪梅 一 课程分析 本节课是一堂语法课。如何避免老式旳老师讲,学生做练习旳“讲练”教学方式,是这节课旳突破点。这节课以学习英语为线索,引导学生在实例中体验与感知语法规则,并且自己学习归纳语法规则,然后在老师创设旳情景中应用所学习旳新语法v-ing做主语和宾语。旨在不断地练习中让学生体验,尝试和学习使用新语法,最后达到掌握旳目旳。 二 Teaching goals 1、 Knowledge and skills: 1) To learn that verb-ing form is used as subject and object. 2) To remember some proverbs with V-ing form. 3) To make up sentences with verb-ing as subject and object. 2. Process and methods:  1) Read to feel and learn V-ing form as subject and object.    2) Practise to master v-ing as subject and object. 3. Emotion, attitude and values   To get students to love learning English and speaking English. 三 Teaching important points 1) To learn that verb-ing form is used as subject and object. 2)  To make sentences with verb-ing as subject and object. 四 Teaching difficult points How to get students to take part in the class activities and how to get students to use what they have learnt well. 五 Teaching methods 1. Task-based teaching & cooperative learning; 2. Group work & competition; 六 Teaching aids 1. A computer 2. Some normal teaching tools   3. Handouts 七 Teaching procedures Step1 Greetings and leading-in 1.ﻩGreetings. 2.ﻩLead in the class with a short video. What information have you got about me? Step2 V-ing form as subject and object 1.ﻩ Presentation I am an English teacher. And I like English very much. But some students don’t like English. Because Learning English is difficult. Teaching English is more difficult. So I have a dream Learning English is great fun. Speaking English is a piece of cake. Speaking English is no big deal V-ing form is used as________. If you want to realize the dream, you should enjoy losing face. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. V-ing form is used as________. 2.ﻩ How is V-ing form used in our life 1) Talk about our dreams and favorites. 2) Talk about our favorite TV shows and stars. 3)ﻩIn some proverbs and films. Step3  Practice Exercise 1   Fill in the blanks and try to make 1-2 similar sentences. 1.  I’m used to ____  (get) up late. How about you? 2.  I can finish______ (do)my homework. What can you finish doing? 3. I didn’t feel like  ____  (work), so I suggested _____(take) a walk. 4. I’m looking forward to _____(see) you again. Exercise 2   Correct the sentences and make 1-2 similar sentences. 1.  Mr Yuan doesn’t care about be famous. 2.  She suggested go to the great wall. 3.  Would you mind open the window? 4. Smoke is bad for you. What is good for you? Step4 Read the short passage Get the students to read the passage and answer the following questions: 1, What does she love doing? 2, Does she often imagine meeting the writers? 3, which book did she finish reading? Step5 Free talk: Talk about one of your classmates using v-ing and make at least 5-6 sentences, then let’s guess who he/she is? 语言提示: … is his/her job.           He/She enjoys… He/She is good at…     He/She is interested in… He/She dreams of…        He/She hates…  He/She cares about…       He/She is crazy about… Step 6 Summary What have we learnt today? Step7  Homework: 1. List more verbs followed by –ing like enjoy, finish and the sentence structures where it is used as the informal subject when V-ing as the real one. 2.
