县职专贺菁凡微课说明 An English Teaching Plan for 45 Minutes’ Period Teacher: Miss He Jingfan Subject: A telephone dialogue about making an appointment with the doctor. Situation of students:Twenty-nine students majoring in clothes designing, they are hardworking and cooperating,they are waitng to improve.Maybe they’ll be a little nervous. Language knowledge aims: Students are able to use the words and sentences about illnesses,they can ask about healthy situation. Language skills aims: Students are able to listen to and express how to make an appointment with the doctor. Learning means: Students improve their language expressing abilities by cooperrating. Culture realization: Students are able to know about the habits of making an appointment on telephone in western countries. Feeling manners: Students are able to face life with activitive manners and healthy living style. Task: Students are able to make an appointment on telephone freely and finish the appointment report card in English. Teaching reflection: Students like learning English very much, although they feel a little nervous and hard,they have tried their best to learn,practice. They are very happy in this class. Some Ss can’t pronounce “feel” and “free” correctly”. Teaching steps Step 1 Greeting Step 2 Discussing Find the right words for the pictures.,using the following words: stomachache toothache fever cough headache back pain Step 3 Game time “ Looking for friends” to form words about illness , Ss practice asking and answering about healthy situation. Step 3 Practicing Read aloud after the tape. Practice the appointment dialogue in two groups. Ask two Ss to act out the dialogue. Step 4 Asking and answering Ask and answer the following questions according to the appointment dialogue. 1) Who is Betty talking to ? 2) Why is she making this phone call ? 3) What’s wrong with Betty ? 4) How long has she felt this way ? 5) When will Betty go to see Dr. King ? Step 5 Task Read the dialogue loudly in pairs. Finish the following appointment report card according to the above dialogue.
