Please introduce the Central Archinves of China.
In June 1959, the CPC central committee and the state council approved the establishment of the Central Archives, Chinese central comprehensive archives. It officially opened in October the same year. It is directly under the administration of the party central committee and the state council, and is responsible for managing important files and data of the party and National Central Authority.
In 1993, the central archives and the national archives merger, perform recording keeping and use, and serves as the administration of national archives, it is directly under the CPC Central Committee and State Council agencies as the vice-ministerial units, and managed by the Central General Office.
The main functions of the Central Archinves of China.
(a) The National Archives work to implement the overall planning and macro management. The principles, policies, rules and regulations of the development of archival work is based on the party and state policies, laws and regulations; It is responsible to organize, guide, inspect, supervise, and coordinate the file operation of central and state organs, armed force,mass organization and the province, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government;
(b) Focus on the unified management of the important file information of the party and the national central authority, to keep the secrets of the Party and States, to maintain the integrity of the file, and to ensure the safety of the archives;
(c) Responsible for receiving, collecting, sorting and manage the important file information of the party and the national central authority, promote the scientific management and modernization of archival work, work on roll compilation and publication, to provide access to the public community. Collecting lost archival material in foreign countries, as well as the Chinese-related archival documents and historical data;
(d) To develop the construction plans of archives staff, organize the professional education and cadres training of archives, responsible for the evaluation and recruitment of archival professions;
(e) Unified the organization and leadership of national archrivals’ foreign affair activities and the international communication of archives;
(f) Complete the relevant matters assigned by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council.
