Bicycle—an important vehicle of transport in China
     In many countries, people prefer to travel by car, while in China, bikes are the most popular form of transportation.
     Since we live in a developing country, car production is not as much as that of the developed countries. And most people can not afford to buy a car, let alone the maintenance of it. So, we prefer bikes as a tool of traveling. First, a bike is much cheaper than a car, so most consumers can afford it, and if there is something wrong with a bike, people can fix it or have it fixed easily without paying much money. The second reason is that bikes need much less parking space than cars. In narrow roads, it is difficult for cars to park. However, a bike needs relatively less room, so it is convenient for us to use bikes. The third reason for using a bike is that it can save energy for our country ，while cars consume gasoline.
Therefore, in China, bicycling is popular and economical. But with the development of our economy, the day when we use cars as the most popular form of transportation is sure to come.

     在许多国家，人们喜欢乘汽车旅行，而在我国，自行车是最流行的交通工具。在于我们生活在发展中国家，汽车生产量不如发达国家那么多。许多人买不起汽车，更不必说汽车的保养了，所以我们喜欢把自行车做为交通工具。第一，自行车比汽车便宜得多，许多消费者买得起。如果自行车出了毛病，人们可以自己修或请别人修，花钱也不多。第二个原因是自行车比汽车所需的停放空间小得多。在狭窄的道路上，停放汽车是困难的。而自行车所需空间相对来说要小得多，因此，使用自行车很方便。原因之三是，使用自行车可以为我们国家节省能源, 而汽车消耗汽油。
     因而，在我国，骑自行车是很流行的，同时也很经济。但是，随着我国经济的发展，我们把汽车作为最普及的交通工具的日子一定会到来。

Most Americans live in the suburb which is far from urban areas and their working places. So they need cars to go shopping and go to work. And they also like traveling far. Thus a car brings them great convenience. On the contrary, most Chinese live near their working areas and markets. They don't need a car to go to work or go shopping.
Family cars are intended to be convenient, but will it really bring convenience to the everyday life in a country with such a large population? Moreover, driving cars will very likely make people sit all the time without any exercises. It will do harm to the physical body. Comparatively, riding bicycles is mtIch better and economical. So,I think, it is not appropriate for China to popularize family cars in the near future, especially in our big densely-populated cities.
On the other hand, as far as comfort is concerned, a car is better than a bicycle.  In a car you are protected from the weather, and have comfortable seats and plenty of room to carry people and luggage.
      A car is not only more comfortable than a bicycle, it is faster as well.
      With respect to convenience, it is difficult to say which one is better. A bicycle is certainly easier to park!
      So it is difficult to make a choice. In my opinion, if you can afford it, you'd better buy both a car and a bicycle. It will be very convenient.

     因而，在我国，骑自行车是很流行的，同时也很经济。但是，汽车比自行车舒服。在汽车里你能避免受到天气的影响。汽车里有舒服的座位和空间来装载人和行李。汽车行驶速度快，可以节约很多时间。开车正在成为现代生活的一部分。所以我认为在中国汽车总有一天会取代自行车。
