一、课标要求与教材分析：
根据《英语课程标准》一级要求，本单元的课标要求为：能听录音进行模仿；能根据短文听懂课堂活动中提出的问题，并能做出正确回答；能用英语表达家周边的场所及位置，并能根据图片介绍某个街区的设施和周边情况。激发学生了解社区情况的热情。
本单元的话题是谈论家周边的情况。学生能够通过询问了解对方家的位置及周边场所，并能简单介绍自家周边的场景。本单元分为三课时，第一课时是对话课，重点是学习表示公共场所的名词，能够运用“Is there a\an…? Are there any…?”这样的句子询问对方家的周边情况。第二课时是语篇课，重点是能够通过阅读抓住关键信息，了解如何介绍自己家的周边情况。能正确读出字母u在单词中的发音。第三课时是综合课，重点是通过调查活动综合运用目标语言，进行语言的积累与运用。
二、学情分析:
四年级的学生已有了了初步的知识体系。已能用一些简单的语句表达生活中的事物并能和他人进行简单的交流。在unit7已学了there be的陈述句，可在新授前先复习陈述句，以旧带新。
三、使用教材构想
1.适当增加词汇量：在描述学生所生活的社区环境时，按照学生的语言需求可以适当补充一些表示其他公共场所的单词。再构文本“Around Tutu’s home”，学生在描述询问图图生活的社区环境中体会生活的美好，热爱周边环境，自觉维护环境卫生。
2. 创设真实的连贯性的语言情境，第一课时在介绍自己生活的真实情境中，乐于表达，提高口语表达能力。 第二课时在询问图图生活的社区环境中学习核心句型并回答，并通过调查活动进一步巩固新词新句，真实的运用于生活。第三课时将前两部分知识加以整合，创编文本“Our busy street”。学生在具体的语境中创设更美好的社区环境，热爱生活，提高口语表达能力和写作能力。

五、课时教学目标
Period 1 Around my home课时目标
1 在语境中学习、理解运用street park supermarket restarant等词汇。
2、在用there be 句型描述家所在的位置和周边公共场所时，巩固生词。在运用中体会near Behind等介词在描述位置时的用法。
3、通过了解教师家的周边环境来学习、理解本单元的核心词汇并能描述自家的周边环境。
4、、谈论家所在街区及周边公共场所，激发学生了解所在社区环境的热情。

Period 2 Around Big Head Son’s home 课时目标
1、通过创设大头儿子生活社区的情景，通过询问学生图图的生活环境了解Is there a\an…? Are there any…?句型的用法，并会用yes或 no回答。
2、通过Do a survey调查活动帮助学生运用核心句型Is there a\an…? Are there any…?
体会句型在生活中的实际运用。
3、在调查活动中进一步学习运用本单元核心句型询问对方家的周边环境。
4、体会周边公共场所的繁忙，维护公共环境卫生。
Period 3 Our busy street课时目标
1 巩固和综合运用前两课时所学的词汇、句型，并能进行交流。
2、帮助学生学习元音字母U在闭音节中的发音。
3、构想自己家更美好的社区环境，热爱生活。
4、感受北京王府井的繁华，体会只有从我做起爱护周边环境，我们的生活才更美好。
六、教学流程
Period 1 Around my home
Step1：Warm up
1、 Greetings.
2、Review. 运用书本第43页下方的图，提问并要求学生说出房间内各种物品的位置。
T:What’s in the room? Ss:There are ….
T:Where is the…? S:It’s ….（设计意图：帮助学生复习已经学过的表示地点的介词和询问物品位置的句型，以旧引新，为本课时的学习做铺垫。）
Step2：Presentation
1、教师拿一张简单的自己家街区的图片，包括本课新授的三个场所。向学生介绍：My home is on…. There is a …near my home. There are …near my home.（设计意图：通过图片的直观显示，向学生输入本课的新知。）
2、出示Look and learn 的单词卡片，教学本课的三个新词并板书。
3、运用课本第50页的街区地图，为地图上不同的地点标上英文名称，如supermarket,toy shop,park,restaurant,school等，教师先做示范性的介绍，再让学生根据地图作介绍。.
T:This is Park Street.There is a park on Park Street.
4、教师板书所在学校名，并介绍：
T:This is our school.Our school is on…Street.
再写出自己家所在的小区名，向学生介绍：
T:This is my home.My home is on…Street.
5、教师就以上内容，向学生提问：
T:Where is our school? S1:Our school is on … Street.
T:Where is my home? S2:Your home is on … Street.
Step3：Practice
1、请学生看Draw and say，在画框中画上自己家所在街区的地图，标出路名，街上的餐厅、公园、学校、商店等，完成后，学生互相讨论：

2、Pair work: S1: Where is your home? S2: My home is on…

3、请准备好的学生，两人一组，到讲台前说给全班学生听。
Step 4 Consolidation

Homework：
1 、听、读、写本课的单词，并试着记住它们。
2、要求学生调查自己家附近的公共场所，仿照书上的地图，绘制一张地图。

（设计意图：鼓励学生用Yes/No来回答，同时教师用完整的句式来补充。向学生输入Yes, there is. No, there isn’t.）
2、 教师出示大头儿子家的地图介绍并询问：

T:There is a park near his home. Is there a park near your home?
引导学生回答：Yes, there is. 或No, there isn’t.（设计意图：逐步输入
Is there....?句型的肯定及否定回答，再由学生输入。）
3、教师板书句型Is there…? Yes, there is./No, there isn’t.并让学生跟读数遍。
4、教师继续介绍:There is a supermarket behind his home.教学生词behind。
5、出示Listen and Say的挂图，介绍并领读Garden Street, Brown Street, Park Street, Green Street
6.播放Listen and say 的录音，并出示问题：
