教学目标:通过谈论电影来学习谈论喜好,通过互相介绍自己的喜好和偏爱,可以增进同学之间的了解和友情,并帮助学生找到彼此的共同点。
教学重点:学会运用连词but and谈论喜好。
教学方法和手段:Pairwork问答的口语交际活动和小组活动,进行询问和谈论偏爱。
教学过程:
Step 1 Preparation
(1)This activity mainly reviews the content from 1a-2c
T: I want to go to a movie. Do you want to go to a movie? Now let’s watch a movie, OK?
Ss: OK!
(放电影片断)
T: Do you like this movie? Do you know the name of the movie? What kind of movies is it? There are different kinds of movies. Now look at these movie posters and tell me what kind of movies they are.

(2)T: I like comedies ,what kind of movies do you like? Think about it and tell me.

(3) T: I don’t like thrillers, what kind of movies don’t you like? Think about it and tell me.

Step 2 Presentation
(课件展示两种电影,教师问学生:What kind of movie is it? ,学生回答后,教师说: I like …. ; 教师再就第二种电影问:What kind of movie is it? 学生回答后,教师说,I like…,too. 然后指着两幅图(电影)说,I like … and I like….。)
用课件展示京剧的图片,老师可与学生讨论对京剧的喜好。

Step 3 Practice
1. Pair work.
1)Work in with your partner. Talk about what kind of movies you like and what kind of movies you don’t like. (为学生提供几组电影图片,学生结束后,叫一两组展示)
2) Take turns to talk about ….(3b)
(学生结束后,叫一两组展示)
2. Fill in the blanks (3a)
(1) T: Look at 3a. Fill in the blanks with “and” or “but”.
(check the answers)
(2) T: What kind of movies do they like? And what kind of movies don’t they like? Tell me. Q1: What does Robert like? Q2:---
(3) Tell the students to read 3a after the teacher.
Step 4 3b
(1) Read after the teacher.
(2) Take turns to talk about the people in the picture above.( T: Student A, talk about Robert. Student B, talk about Maria, Student C, talk about Guo Peng, Student D, talk about Michelle.)
(3) Brain storm. Ask the students to review what the four people like and what they don’t like with the books closed.(T: Now let’s play a game, I’ll give a present to the first one.Q1:what does Robert like?)
