Tibet is among the most popular places for Chinese tourists. The number of travelers of Tibet has grown by 10% every year for a few years. Since July 1, 2006, when the first train ran 1956 kilometers from Xining to Lhasa, more and more people have been going to Tibet.
The train stops at several famous places along the way, such as Qinghai Lake, Kunlun Mountain, and the Potala Palace. Passengers can also enjoy many activities during the journey, like Tibetan dancing and Karaoke.
On the train, passengers can have tea, eggs and noodles for breakfast, and fried chicken and green vegetables for lunch and dinner. Unlike most Chinese trains which have open – hole toilets, this one has special toilets which can collect the waste. There is also a special rubbish system (系统) in the train that keeps the environment clean. All the windows on the train can protect people from the bright sunlight. TV and electrical sockets (插座) for computers and mobile phones can be found on the train.
Because there isn’t much oxygen there, trains will have oxygen masks (氧气罩) for those who need them. It makes passengers feel more comfortable when they have enough oxygen on the famous “roof of the world”. There are also doctors on the train to make sure that all of the travelers are safe.

Brighton
Brighton, a famous holiday town next to the sea in Sussex, on the southeast coast of England, is only 50 minutes on a fast train from London.
The town usually has a population of 134,000 people, but in the summer this number increases a lot as Brighton gets a lot of tourists. They come here to spend their holidays by the sea and students come form lots of different countries. It is a very busy place at this time of the year, and there always seems to be a party going on!
A long time ago Brighton was a quiet fishing town. It even had a different name, Brighthelmstone. Later on, when swimming in the sea became popular, many rich and important people, as well as artists, musicians and writers began to arrive and Brighton became a popular seaside holiday town. Prince George, the future King George IV, first visited Brighton in 1783. He liked it and used to spend part of the summer there because of his health. He asked John Nash, who was a very famous builder at the time, to build him a palace. It took about 40 years to build the palace and it cost half a million pounds! Many famous and important people enjoyed visiting Brighton over the years. Now more than 400,000 tourists visit Brighton and the palace-the Royal Pavilion-every year.
The Royal Pavilion, with its beautiful rooms and museum, is not the only interesting thing in Brighton. In May this friendly and colourful town holds an international festival with many different kinds of music, dance, and theatre.

Venice is a magical place. It is one of a few cities in the world where the noises of cars are never heard because cars are not allowed. Instead, when it is quiet, one can hear the sound of waves rushing against the city’s great old buildings.
Venice is located(座落) in a lake in the Adriatic Sea(亚得里亚海) and is built on islands linked by more than 400 bridges. Venice’s most famous vehicles are gondolas, which move slowly through the city’s famous rivers as the men driving the boats. Sitting in gondolas, passengers can hear artists singing Italy songs when they enjoy the beautiful scenery of Venice.
Venice becomes even more charming(迷人的) during Carnival(狂欢节), which is the most world-famous festival and one of the oldest. The streets of Venice Carnival are full of people in masks(面具). Anyway, the Venice Carnival is an adventure worth experiencing.
