情态动词can的否定式的一些句式
can not是can的否定式，但在不少句型中，其意义却不是否定，而是肯定，甚至还能起加强语气的作用。
①Cannot…too / enough 无论怎样…也不为过
You can’t be too careful when crossing the road.
过马路时，你越小心越好。
I can’t praise the girl highly enough.
这个女孩怎么表扬也不为过。
②cannot (help /choose) but do不得不做
He can’t help but obey the order.
他只好听从命令。
she can’t choose but wait.
她只好等。
③cannot help doing情不自禁做。其中的动词help可被resist,avoid,keep from等替换。
On hearing the bad news ,he can’t help bursting into tears.
听到这坏消息，他不禁哭了。
I can’t avoid missing him.我禁不住想他。
I can’t keep from being persuaded to buy some useless things.
我禁不住被劝买一些无用的东西。
④cannot help it 没有办法
I burst out laughing.I can’t help it.
我突然大笑起来，难以克制。
⑤cannot wait to do 迫不及待地做
Many young men can’t wait to see the film AVATAR.
许多年轻人迫不及待想看电影阿凡达
⑥cannot+be/行为动词+比较级 再没有……比……更
He can't be more careless. 他太粗心了。
I can’t agree more. 我非常赞同。
