Teaching procedure:
Step1. Lead-in
Show two pictures to the students for them to compare which is tidy.
Step2. Show the studying aims to the students.
Step3. Presentation
Guide1 Pre-reading
Look at the picture about 2a, work in pairs to write the words you know for the things in the picture.
Ask some students to read the words they have wrote.
Guide2 While-reading
Task 1.
Listen to the tape carefully and get a general idea about the text to answer the following question.
Is Kate tidy? Is Gina tidy?
Task 2.
Read the text and find out what things Gina has and what things Kate has.
Let the students work in groups to find out the answers.
Then check answers.
Task 3. Read the text again and find out where these things are.
Let the students work in groups to find out the answers.
Then check answers.
Guide 3 After-reading (Pairwork)
Let the students make dialogues according to the answers about Task 1 and Task 2.
e.g A: Where are Kate’s books and tapes?
B: They are in the bookcase.
