Lead-in
Our school yard is very beautiful and clean .Every day some students clean it and we all keep our school yard clean. our good friends Danny ,Jenny and Brain pick up the rubbish in their school yard and clean it up .Today we will learn lesson 57 let’s clean up!
Presentation
1. Come to “TALK ABOUT IT.”
2. Show the new words to the students. Let the students read the words first. Then let them read after the tape.
3. Teacher explains the key words to the class. Such as garbage/rubbish /litter, pollute and save one’s life.
4. Close books, read and spell new words together.
Listening and practice

2. Read the dialogue together and check answers. Pay attention to the new words of this lesson.
3. Role plays the dialogue. Read the dialogue in groups of three students each.
4. Students find out the language points and explain them in class. Teacher can give them some suggestions.
5. Groupwork .when you see a lot of rubbish in your school yard, how do you feel? What should you do about it? Discuss in groups and answer it.

Comments
This lesson is close to our life. Try to take the students out of the classroom and show the garbage to them. Then let them say what they feel about the garbage. Ask them to act the dialogue out in the school yard. Advice the students to pick up the garbage and clean up the school yard.
