Greeting. 2.Ask the Ss to look at the pictures in activity1 and talk about them. Work in pairs. Get the Ss to be attentive and focus on the theme of the lesson. 3m Learn by oneself 1.Play the recorder. Get the Ss to read the words after it, then read the words by oneself. 2.Play the recorder. Ask the Ss to complete the blanks in activity1. 3.Play the recorder, ask the Ss to complete the passage in activity2. Read and understand the words and phrases in unit1. Listen and complete. Listen to the dialogue carefully, think about and complete the passage about Shenzhen. To grasp the words and phrases, and guide the Ss to listen and catch the key words. 10m Learn together 1.Ask the Ss to read the dialogue by themselves. 2.Ask the Ss to find out the important phrases and sentences about comparative adjectives. 3.Ask the Ss read the dialogue again, and then act it. Read the dialogue. Discuss and find out the sentence structure in groups, then show them. Read the dialogue in roles. Show their dialogues. To practise reading, and grasp the main information of the dialogue and the key structures about comparative adjectives. 15m Show time 1.Ask the Ss to finish activity 3 by oneself. 2.Ask Ss to complete table in activity5. 3.Ask Ss to talk about the differences between Shenzhen and your home town. Check the answers in activity 3 together. Check the notes. Work in pairs to make a new dialogue. The Ss and teacher give the grades for each groups. To check if the Ss grasp the use of key knowledge points ,and evaluate Ss’ speaking. 15m Summary Ask the Ss: What have you learn in this lesson? Sum up the main knowledge points together. Complete the passage with the correct form of the words in the box and check the answers. Talk and write notes about your home town. Write the passages.
