Unit 2 My week---B Let’s talk说课稿 I’m glad to be here to say something about my teaching plan. Now I’m going to talk about Part A of Unit 2, My Week, which is from PEP Primary School English Book . There are six parts in my teaching plan , they are Analysis of the Teaching Material, Analysis of the Students, Teaching aims, important points and difficult points, teaching methods and the Teaching procedures as well as the purposes of my designing Part 1 Analysis of the Teaching Material This lesson is the third part one of Unit2. So if the students can learn this lesson well, it will be helpful to make the students learn the rest of this unit. This lesson is about my week in school. By studying this unit, students know how to ask the week and what we have on different days in school. Such topic is related to the children’s day-to-day life. So it is helpful to arouse learning interests of students and it will be also helpful to improve their oral English. In the teaching course, the teacher should use the pictures, CD and multi-media and some real objects to create the real situations and happy atmosphere. Some stars award as a prize to the students still needed. Part 2 Analysis of the Students The students in Grade 5 have had some basic English knowledge and they can express themselves in simple English, so it’s easier for them to have further English study. Part 3 Teaching aims I put forward the teaching aims according to new English lesson standard .It contains three points: the aims of knowledge , the aims of ability and the aims of emotion . (1)The aims of knowledge are about key sentences: What day is it today? What do you have on Mondays? We have… ;I like… (2)The aims of ability are to help students improve their ability of listening and speaking. To encourage them to communicate with others actively by using the new words and sentence patterns. (3) The aims of emotion Encourage the pupils to have good cooperation with each other, help each other and learn from each other. Encourage the students to communicate in English in real everyday life. Part4 Important points and difficult points To master the key sentences, and to make a dialogue according to the new sentence pattern is difficult point. Part 5 Teaching methods In this lesson I’ll mainly use “communicate teaching” and “task based” method. That is to say, I will let the Ss learn in real situations, use the topic sentence as a center to teach main knowledge. Part 6 Teaching procedures I divide this big part into five steps: warming-up, review, presentation, practice, summary and homework Step 1 Warming up Greeting with students, then sing a song together with the CD. The purpose of it is to warm up through the chant, do some total physical response not only let students review language what they have learned, but also active the atmosphere of the class, it can make students come to the situation of English learning. Step 2 Presentation Now I’ll mainly talk about this step. (1) By the pictures, we have a recognize about phrases. Purpose: To make students in a real situation,easily arouse their interests, they are eager to know what’s in my bag, and want to express it in English. (2). Teacher will present the PPT for the students, then we will see the key sentence: “Do you often…” “Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.” Teacher asks students: “Do you often…? Yes, I do./ No, I don’t. Ask one student to perform first, then make a survey in each group, the group leader ask and the others answer one by one. Purpose: Task-based teaching method is used here to develop Ss’ ability of communication and also their ability of co-operation will be well trained. Step 3 Practice Listen to the tape first, answer the questions below: 1. What day is it today? 2.What does Amy have on Wednesdays? Then listen again and imitate it, pay attention to their pronunciation and intonation. At last ,read by themselves and Read the text in roles Purpose: By answering the question, students will have general idea of the main dialogue, listening to the tape is very important for students to promote their listening and speaking skills, after all ,the most important aim for pupils is to cultivate their basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. Step 4 Summary Purpose: This chant made by teacher can help students to consolidate the main dialogue and review the sentences. (1) Make a curriculum schedule as they like in every group , then communicate with others, at last perform it before students. Use the new sentences, teacher will write these sentences on the blackboard. Give the praise to well performed group. Purpose: Through this step, Ss are expected to use what they’ve learnt fluently .Their listening and speaking ability will be further improved. students’ ability of communication and also their ability of co-operation will be well trained. Step 5 Homework 1.Write words and phrases﹕ often, park, read books, play football, listen to music 2.To learn English with your parents everyday Purpose: Ask Ss to master the new phrases. Ss should have a good habit of learning and let them have a better studying atmosphere. Language is used to communicate, so the students need to practice every day.
