Teaching content：How to write an English composition well?
Teaching aims and demands:
1.Knowledge Objects:
Enable the students to write an excellent composition by learning how to write the beginning ,the body and the ending well.
2.Ability Objects:
Love writing and be able to write a composition at least 80 words.
3.Moral Objects:
Be able to express their feeling or opinions in their writing correctly.
Teaching Importance and Difficulty:
The students can make sentences using Five Kinds of Simple Sentences and Five-step Writing Methods

Five-step Writing Methods（Step 1: Search（审）Step 2: list（列）Step 3: add(加: 开头和结尾)Step 4: connect(连)Step 5: beautify(美：谚语/例子)
Learning Method:
Imitation and practice
Teaching Procedure:
Step 1 Show two compositions and ask the students to compare. Ask the students to answer the following question：Which one is better? Why?
Step 2 Show how to write the beginning (topic sentence)
Good beginning is half done. So it is important to teach the students to analyze and come up with the top sentence. The following sentences are often used as the beginning of a passage
a) ....plays an important part in...
b) As we all know, ... becomes more and more....
c) As everybody knows, ...is one of the most...in ....
d) Many people say that.... But I don’t think so.
e) I will never forget ....
Make some examples to make the students know how to write the beginning (or the topic sentence)
Step 3 Show how to write the ending
Beautiful ending is very important. The students should sum up the main idea of his writing. The following sentences are often used as the ending of a passage. At last/ Finally ... / In a word, ... /In short, .../ We hope that/ Let’s try our best to ..../ I believe if we can..., ... will be ..../ What a ...! / How...! etc.
Step 4 Show how to write the body

Step b : List
A lot of people travel. Some people stay at home Some other people visit friends or parents. A few people work. Enjoy your vacation.
Step c: Add
How do people spend their vacation? We made a survey and here is our report（the beginning）
A lot of people travel. Some people stay at home. They watch TV or surf the internet. Some other people visit friends or parents. A few people work.
Come and enjoy your vacation. People who relax well work well.（the ending）
Step d: Connect
How do people spend their vacation? We made a survey and here is our report.
According to it, a lot of people travel. And some people stay at home. They watch TV or surf the Internet. Also some other people visit friends or parents. However, a few people work.
Come and enjoy your vacation. People who relax well work well.
Step e: Beautify
We interviewed people about the ways to spend the vacation and here is our report.
According to it, most people choose to travel to get away from the busy world during the holidays. Then some people like to stay at home, watching TV or surfing the Internet to have a good rest. And to visit friends or parents also makes them relaxed. However, a few people have to work.
As the saying goes, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.” Come and enjoy your vacation. People who relax well work well.
Step 5.Show the following effective writing skills.
Step 6 Use the Five-step Writing Methods to write a composition.（Step 1: Search/Step 2: list/Step 3: add/Step 4: connect/Step 5: beautify to write an English composition. Give the students the chance to practice writing an English composition using the Five-step Writing Methods.
例如：在日常生活中你主动帮助你的父母做家务活吗？请你根据提示用英语写一篇80字左右的短文，描述你平时所做家务以及你对家务的看法。
提示：1.扔垃圾 2. 扫地 3. 帮助妈妈做饭4.洗衣服 5. 为花浇水 6. 饭后洗碗 要求：语句通畅，语法正确。 不得逐句翻译。
Sample:
As we all know, it’s important to help parents do housework during our daily life.
I often help them do housework. I throw the rubbish away and clean the floor in the morning. I help my mother cook lunch. After supper, I always wash dishes. I think it can make my parents feel more enjoyable after work. I always wash clothes for my family. Besides, watering the flowers is also my duty. I like them very much and take good care of them.
In a word, the more housework I do, the happier my parents will be.
Step 7 Demonstrate the following eight topics and ask the students to pay more attention to the red underlined topics and practice writing more.
Step 8 Sum up the Five-step Writing Methods and the effective writing skills
