一．教材分析：
1. 教学内容：
本课时是新目标英语七年级上册Unit 3 Is this your pencil? Section B (1a-1c). 主要是用英语询问物品名称，用英语询问物品的主人。主要句型如下：- What’s this?
- It’s a watch. -Is this your watch? -Yes, it is./ No, it isn’t.
2. 教材的地位及作用
本课时位于本单元的B部分，与Starter Unit2 What’s this in English?极为相关。通过学习一些物品名称和基本句型，教学生学会用英语来询问物品的名称，以及用英语询问物品的主人。这一课时的内容与学生的生活息息相关，学习本课时，可以激发学生的学习兴趣，增强日常英语的口语交际能力。

二．学情分析：
1. 知识方面：本次上课的学生，是初一年级三班学生。他们英语基础知识薄弱，所学英语知识和句子并不多。但是，这个单元的内容是建立在Starter Unit2 What’s this in English?的基础之上，相信他们学起来会更轻松。
2. 心理方面：初一年级正是活泼好动的年龄，他们求知欲强，积极好学，好奇心强，喜欢参与各种活动。这正好符合英语学习的需求。

（一）情境导入，目标引领
1.打招呼 Teacher: Good morning, boys and girls!

（二）自主学习，合作探究
自学指导一：Words and expressions
四人小组用音标知识讨论学习新单词，然后抽小组起来示范他们的发音，接着跟录音读，纠正自己的发音，再抽小组、男生或女生读。最后，教师带读。给学生1-2分钟边读边写这些单词。此处采用小组合作学习新单词的方式，可帮助学生复习巩固已学的音标，培养学生的自学能力，激发他们的合作意识。采用读写结合的方式，可以帮助他们更快更准地复习巩固已经会读的单词，提高单词拼写的正确率，从而提高英语成绩。
自学指导二：Group work
1a Match the words with the things in the picture. 四人小组讨论完成1a. 抽查学生的完成情况，教师核对答案。此处内容较为简单，但前提是要熟悉每个英文单词的意思，所以，让学生讨论完成之前，教师应该带他们复习这些单词，然后，才可以帮助他们又好又快地完成任务。
自学指导三：Pair work
1b Ask and answer questions about the things in the picture.此处用到的核心句型是 -What’s this?
-It’s a/ an …
- How do you spell it? /Please spell it. /Spell it, please.
-W-A-T-C-H. 这两组句子是预备单元2学过的。但他们当中，可能有一小部分学生已经忘了。所以，在让学生练习对话之前，还是要一起复习一下。
1c Listen and circle the things you hear in 1a. 学生听完以后核对答案。
（三）检测效果、展示质疑
教师提问，学生回答，今天所学的单词和重点句型。问答完以后，给学生背诵一分钟。多让他们巩固练习。
