Unit 3 Festivals and Holidays Lesson 7 Chinese New Year ◆ 教材分析 本课是北师大版《初中英语》八年级上册第三单元,话题是“节日”。本课是本单元的第一课,在承接Get Ready部分有关“Festival and Holidays”话题的基础上,本课主要介绍Grace在北京过春节的情况。 本课的教学主要分成两个课时,本节课是第一课时,侧重对课文的理解,首先通过头脑风暴的形式激发学生已有的知识:一年中的主要节日。然后利用猜谜游戏引入中国传统节日---春节,以及春节人们都有哪些活动。接着通过阅读了解Grace在北京过春节的文章大意和细节信息---Grace在除夕当天的各种活动,以及Grace当时的感受。本节课主要渗透现在完成时的疑问句的相关知识,主要引导学生理解现在完成时的语用功能。 ◆ 教学目标 【知识与能力目标】 1. Key vocabulary 2. Key structures 【过程与方法目标】 1.认读有关节日名称及相关活动的词汇 2.通过阅读找出Grace在北京过春节时的各种活动信息,并能根据上下文猜测生词的含义。 【情感态度价值观目标】 了解全国各地人们欢度春节的传统文化。 ◆ 教学重难点 ◆ 【教学重点】 1、认读有关节日名称及相关活动的词汇 2、通过阅读找出Grace在北京过春节时的各种活动信息 【教学难点】 根据上下文猜测生词的含义 ◆ 课前准备 ◆ Tape recorder, Multimedia ◆ 教学过程 Step 1. Brainstorm Ask the students to think about what festivals they know.What day/date is it today? What holiday is coming soon? Do you like…?Why? What are you going to do? Step 2. Warm-up Su Hai gets an email from her e-friend Ann in Hong Kong. Ask the students to look at the pictures and then learn or review the festivals. Step 3. Pre-reading 1. Fast-reading Read the instant messages and choose the correct answer. 2. Intensive-reading Read each paragraph and answer the questions. Read the passage again and do Exercise 3. Read the passage again and answer the question about Grace’s feeling and find the evidence. Let the students read after the tape. Step 4. Reading 1. Ask the students to summarize the structure of present perfect question sentences. Ask the students to complete the table with have or has. 2. Let the students do more exercises. Show some sentences in present perfect with never, ever, just, and already. Step 5 Work in pairs 1. Lead the students to look at the sentences in present simple and past simple in the text and ask the students to think of the differences of the three tenses. And then show them some sentences in different tenses to make them be clearer. 2. Ask the students to do Exercise 6 and then check the answers. 3. Ask the students to do Exercise 7 and then check the answers. Step 6 Grammer Talk about your Chinese New Year (act as; grandparents, parents, child) I’m… Before Chinese New Year, I’m going to … On Chinese New Year’s Eve, I’m going to … On Chinese New Year’s Day, I’m going to … On 2nd day of Chinese New Year, I’m going to … Step7 Homework 1.
