◆Step 1　Leading
Show some animals’pictures.Let students discuss in pairs.(见课件)
A:What animal do you like?
B:I like pandas.
A:Why do you like pandas?
B:Because they are kind of interesting.
◆Step 2　Learning Grammar Focus
1.Students read the sentences in Grammar Focus.And translate them into Chinese.
2.Give a summary about Why...Because...Where...
3.Compare the use of be from with the use of come from.
4.Do some exercises.(见课件)
◆Step 3　Reading
1.Ask students to read the conversation in 3a and fill in the blanks with the words from the box.
2.Check the answers:Where;They’re;like;don’t;Why;because;do;cool.
◆Step 4　Writing
1.Students write names of animals in the blanks in 3b to make sentences that are true for you.
2.Ask students to show his/ her sentences.
3.Ask students to think of an animal.Then ask and answer questions in pairs.Let the partner guess the animal.
4.Ask several to show their conversations.
◆Step 5　Homework
Write a short passage about their favorite animal.
