SCOPE: To provide the impedance measurement test step for customer.

A. Tools
工具:
1. Digital multimeter - One set
数字万用表-1 台
2. SATA DC power cable - One set
SATA 直流电源线- 1台
B. Impedance reading Spec:
阻抗读数标准:
PCBA short circuit for +5V = Equal or less than 2000 Ohm
PCBA+5V 短路=小于等于 2KΩ
short circuit for +12V = Equal or less than 2000 Ohm
PCBA+12V 短路=小于等于 2KΩ
C. Impedance test (+5V and +12V) Mmeasurement Process For Pata Drive
PATA 硬盘(+5V and +12V)阻抗测试
1. Adjust the multimeter selection switch to Ohm range
将万用表调为欧姆档
2. Measure the 5V point impedance test by attach the multimeter probe pin (positive)to PCBA +5V pin point and negative probe to ground/screw hole(Refer to Figure A)
5V 阻抗测试,用万用表的正极探针(红色)接触 PCBA 板 5V 针脚,负极接地或螺丝孔,如图 Figure A 所示
3. Read the impedance reading at multimter, the ohm meter reading must be greater or equal to 2000 Ohm. Ohm reading equal or less than 2000 Ohm are categorized as short circuit.
读取万用表数值,阻值读数一定要大于等于 2KΩ。读数小于 2KΩ 判定为短路

4. Measure the 12V point impedance test by attaching the millimeter probe pin (positive )
to PCBA 12V pin point and negative probe to ground/screw hole(Refer to Figure B).
12V 阻抗测试,用万用表的正极探针(红色)接触 PCBA 板 12V 针脚,负极接地或螺丝孔,如图 Figure B 所示
5. Read the impedance reading at multimter, the Ohm meter reading must be greater or equal to 2000 Ohm. Ohm reading equal or less than 2000 are categorized under as short circuit
读取万用表数值,阻值读数一定要大于等于 2KΩ。读数小于 2KΩ 判定为短路
D. Impedance test (+5V and +12V) Measurement Process For Sata Drive
SATA 硬盘(+5V and +12V)阻抗测试过程
1. Adjust the multimeter selection switch to Ohm reage
将万用表调为欧姆档
2. Plug in the SATA connector set onto drive pcba (Refer to figure D).
将 SATA 电源线插入 PCBA 板,如图 figure D 所示
3. Measure the 5V point impedance test by attaching the multimeter probe pin (positive)
to connector +5V pin point and negative probe to ground/screw hole(Refer to Figure D).
5V 阻抗测试,用万用表的正极探针(红色)接触电源线 5V 针脚(红色线),负极接地或螺丝孔,如图 Figure D 所示

6. Read the impedance reading at multimter, the ohm meter reading must be greater

7. Unplug the SATA cable connector out from drive pcba once confirm the reading
确认阻值后从 PCBA 板上拔下 SATA 连接线
