Ladies and gentlemen:
Good morning!
Before I begin my speech, I have a request to make of you here. Please ask yourself who is sitting beside you now? Who is the first one to give you a hand when you are in trouble? Who are you eager to seeing right now? Yes, I think everyone has the same answer: Friends! Friendship is the topic of my speech today.
What is the friendship? Friends are the ones who are always with you when you are faced with problems, though you haven’t seen each other for a long time. Friendship is a bottle of wine, and the longer it is kept, the sweeter it will be. When we are thirsty, it will be our best choice. You laugh, friends laugh, yet you cry, friend will comfort you, you speak, friends listen. Friends are partners who share joys and sorrows together.
An old Chinese saying goes that the friendship between gentlemen is as pure as crystal. As follows is the story of my own. John is the best friend of mine, we grew up together but we have different natures and hobbies, we went to school together but we might not be as close as others, we walk together but we have different dreams, we even speak little to each other but we share joys as well as sorrows, we know the truth that the friend you have in your childhood may break away as time pass away. But more than ten years past, we still help each other and share privities. We are best friends as before.
No one can sail the ocean of life single handed in the modern times. Life is full of stripe and conflict. We need friends to support and help us out of difficulties. With friendship, life is happy and lucky, without friendship, life is hostile and uncomfortable. Friends give us a feeling of security, warmth and encourage us to go ahead all the time. We can’t live without friendship just as we can’t survive without air or water.
Friendship is a kind of treasure in our lives. To make and sustain good friends, the real importance lay in faith, understood and care. So cherish your friends with care and love and let’s pray the flower of friendship among us would always bloom brightly in our heart.
