The big day came at last. The alarm rang at 6a.m.The pair went down the stairs quietly to the kitchen. They decided to boil the porridge first. They put some rice into a pot of water and left it to boil while they made the French toast.Jeff broke two eggs into a plate and added in some milk.Jenna found the bread and put two slices into the egg mixture.Next,Jeff turned on the second stove burner to heat up the frying pan.Everything was going smoothly until Jeff started frying the bread. The pan was too hot and the bread turned black within seconds.Jenna threw the burnt piece into the sink and put in the other slice of bread. This time, she turned down the fire so it cooked nicely. Then Jeff noticed steam shooting out of the pot and the lid starting to shake. The next minute, the porridge boiled over and put out the fire.Jenna panicked.Thankfully,Jeff stayed calm and turned off the gas quickly. But the stove was a mess now.Jenna told Jeff to clean it up so they could continue to cook the rest of the porridge. But Jeff's hand touched the hot burner and he gave a cry of pain.Jenna made him put his hand in cold water. Then she caught the smell of burning.Oh dear! The piece of bread in the pan had turned black as well. As the twins looked around them in disappointment, their father appeared.____________________ _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The twins carried the breakfast upstairs and woke their mother up.__________________________ ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 技法二 巧构思,续情节 在理清所给故事的基本脉络之后,我们就要开始写作了。 They had watched their mother in the kitchen. There was nothing to it.Jenna and Jeff knew exactly what to do"暗示双胞胎曾经看过母亲做饭,他们感觉非常自信,但实际上,他们并没有实际的操作经验,这就是他们在厨房中出乱子的主要原因。 The pair went down the stairs quietly to the kitchen"暗示了两个孩子不想惊动父母。 Question 1:What did the father see? Answer 1:A mess on the stove. Question 2:How did he feel? Answer 2:Surprised and angry. Question 3:What did he do to help the twins? Answer 3:He showed them how to adjust the burner. Question 4:What was the result? Answer 4:A delicious breakfast was ready. Question 1:What did the mother see before her? Answer 1:Her children and the breakfast. Question 2:How did she feel? Answer 2:Surprised and grateful. Question 3:What did she do? Answer 3: She took her children in her arms. Question 4:What did the children say? Answer 4:Happy Mother's Day! Question 5:How did the mother and her children feel? Answer 5:Happy and excited. Excited and happy, their mother ate the breakfast and thanked the twins." He never forgot the help from the Meredith family, and he also did what he could to help those in need.",这样故事的主题就得以体现 了。 The twins were filled with excitement as they thought of the surprise they were planning for Mother's Day”,我们在结尾时可以利用孩子们的愿望得以实现来呼应首句,以"How excited they were when they found they could do something for their mother." In addition to love, the most beautiful verb in the worldis help." The children said loudly,‘Happy Mother's Day!'Mother hugged them tightly and kissed them again and again. The air in the room was filled with the happiness. 一、(2022·湖北·模拟预测) Eight-year-old Amanda heard Mom and Dad talking about her little brother, Hyman, who was very sick and learnt that only a very costly surgery could save him. Being in heavy debt, Dad said to Mom in desperation, “Only a miracle can save him now.” Amanda went to her bedroom and pulled a glass jar in the closet. She poured all the change out and counted it carefully. Three times. No chance here for mistakes. Carefully placing the coins back in the jar, she slipped out the back door and made her way six blocks to the pharmacy (药店). On arriving the pharmacy, she poured her jar on the counter. The pharmacist got annoyed as she was talking to her brother, Dr. Bethune, a neurosurgery (神经外科) surgeon, who happened to be on a visit. Asked what she wanted, Amanda answered back, “My brother’s really, really sick... and I want to buy a miracle.” She explained her brother had something bad growing inside his head and needed an operation, and her Dad said only a miracle could save him. The pharmacist shook her head and said softly, “We don’t sell miracles here, little girl. I’m sorry but I can’t help you.” Hearing this, Amanda couldn’t help wailing, tears rolling down like a broken string of beads. Witnessing this, Dr. Bethune leaned down and asked her, “How much do you have?” “One dollar and eleven cents.” Amanda responded proudly. “Well, what a coincidence,” smiled Dr. Bethune, “A dollar and eleven cents-the exact price of a miracle for your little brother.” Overjoyed, Amanda twirled and jumped. Paragraph1: Dr. Bethune held her hand and said kindly, “Take me to see your brother.” __________________ _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Paragraph2: “That surgery,” her Mom whispered to Amanda, “was a real miracle. I wonder how much it would have cost.” ___________________________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 二、(2022·湖北武汉·模拟预测) I was ten the summer my dad helped me buy my first ten-speed bicycle from a second-hand store. I put up $60 of my grass cutting and snow shoveling (铲) money, and my dad put up the other half. I would pay him back in installments (分期付款) over the next six months. Although it was a bit out of style, it was my ticket to the adult world. I spent that summer and autumn riding. I was able to ride to every corner of town. However, my sister Liz, a prisoner of her five-speed bicycle, never had a chance to keep up. Just before the Christmas deadline to pay my dad back, we were hit with several snowstorms. This allowed me to shovel enough driveways to pay off my debt. I was now officially a bike owner; it was a feeling unlike any other. While my mom and dad were fantastic parents, they always passed off gloves, sneakers, and shirts as “presents”. Then came that fateful Christmas morning, my father gave me a used portable record player. I was excited. However, my excitement was short-lived after my dad took my sister to the garage. There, on the steps, stood a brand new ten-speed bicycle. I didn’t hear her screams of joy-all I could hear was the noisy engine of the lawnmower, the endless scraping (刮擦声) of the metal snow shovel on concrete. I’d gone through far too many hours of hard work for my used bike while Liz got her shinny new machine less than a week later. “Let’s go for a ride, Rob!” Liz sang, my dad holding the bike upright as she got on the shining leather seat. “Too snowy to ride,” I refused, pushing the record player farther away from me. I seethed (生闷气) for the rest of the day. _____________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Reflecting on my dad’s words, I figured out what he meant. _______________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 三、(2022·山东烟台·三模) As I sat on the bus waiting to arrive at school, the sun shining, I just sat there full of excitement ready to enjoy the first day of spring. At last, the bus stopped and I started my day. The whole day I was waiting for one thing, noon break. As the day passed by, I heard the bell rang and everyone rushed out of the door. I hurried and ate lunch just to get outside. As soon as I was out, my close friend, Riley called me over to play basketball. We all started playing and time flew by as we heard the timekeeper yell, “10 more minutes.” From that point on, the game sped up. Score after score, the competition process was more intense. I passed it to my teammate, Austin, and he dished it back as I pulled up a shot. I felt as if the world around me were barely moving, and all I concentrated on was the ball going to the hoop (篮筐). Not knowing I was pushed back hard, I hit the ground. A huge pain entered my left ankle. I wanted to scream, but I didn’t, hearing the people around me shout for help. I just lay there as Riley came over to pick me up and Austin fetched a wheelchair from the school clinic. Both of them helped me sit on the wheelchair. It seemed like the whole school circled around me as I was being pushed away. The moment we entered the clinic where I always felt nervous, I didn’t think my ankle hurt as badly as it did just now, so I said, “I’m okay.” Then they had to send me back to class without any treatment. The rest of the day I felt my ankle swelling (肿) up and I thought of how stupid I was to say that my ankle didn’t hurt in the clinic. “I should have gone home.” I thought to myself as I was thrown through this terrible pain. After school, I worried how to go back home. Just then I found Riley come in with an ice pack in his hand._______________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ As we went out, we were surprised to find Austin holding some medicinal oil._________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 四、(2022·江苏·南京师大附中三模) Tina was seventeen years old and always wore a bright smile. This may not seem that unusual except that she suffered from a
