Module 4 Rules and suggestions Unit 2 We must keep the camp clean. ◆ 教材分析 Module 4的主要内容为运用情态动词来描述规则和给别人的建议。从全书来看,本模块继续复习情态动词的用法,内容有层次的展开,学生容易接受。 ◆ 教学目标 【知识目标】 1.Key vocabulary—tent, fall, hang, sudden, gun, soft, still, wood, blood. 2.Key structures—fall asleep. 【能力目标】 To get information about the outside camping. 【情感目标】 To know more about other life rules and protect ourselves better. ◆ 教学重难点 ◆ 【教学重点】 To learn some rules and suggestions in the passage. 【教学难点】 To get information from the article. ◆ 课前准备 ◆ 1.课前准备:调试光盘与课件、给学生分组、为学生布置预习作业等; 2.教具学具:光盘、大卡片等。 ◆ 教学过程 Step1. Words 1.Show pictures related to the difficult words and phrases to facilitate students’ perception. 2.Teach the new words, phrases and patterns in the lesson with the Chinese explanation and exact pronunciation. 3.Show the Chinese meanings to let student answer English correspondents. 4. Encourage students to make up English sentences in the given sentence patterns. Step2. Talking 1. Let students talk about what they have known about bears. The more detailed the introduction is, better the student’s performance is. 2. Show the pictures of various kinds of bears to deepen students’ perception of bears. Step3. Learning 1. Look at the picture. Answer the questions about the bear in the picture. 2. Read the passage and answer the question about the features of bears. 3. Read again and answer the questions about how to protect bears. 4. After reading, complete the information table about what happened and what they should do. 5. Complete the passage with the words in the box. Step4. Writing 1. Students think of an area of countryside nearby. Where is it? Why do people go there? And there any dangers from animals? How can we protect ourselves? What should we do to look after the place? 2. Students identify the event, the place and the time. 3. Write down the composition about the animal protection. 4. Assuming that students work as a guide for Yellowstone Park, let students give some suggestions to the visitors about how to protect yourselves and the park. Step5. Language points 1. the 用在数词前, 表示特指。 the three of us 指的是“我们三个人” (总数就三个人); three of us指的是“ 我们中的三个人” (总数不一定为三个人) 。 2. fall asleep 入睡,睡着。 3. hang v. 悬挂;吊 其过去式、过去分词均为hung。 4. put up 挂起;张贴; 举起。 学过的含有up的短语还有: get up“起来”, grow up“长大, 成长”, give up“放弃”等。 5. tidy up 整理; 收拾。 move on 继续前进。 6. reach out 伸出(手或臂); reach for 伸手去拿……。 7. still adj. 静止的;不动的 Step6.
