Q1. Describe what you consider your most honorable act/thing in University, and please explain why you consider it the most honorable.
I was very busy in the whole period of bachelor degree student. At one hand, there was no doubt that I should keep studying hard; at another hand, as a student carder, I have a lot of work to do in the student union. If I fail in any one of these two fields, I think that it means I fail in fact. I had never been in such a situation before so this was the new and biggest challenge to me. I assessed the situation and found that the most important priority is the time. The key to success is a good arrangement of the time. At last I successes. All my teachers and classmates said that I had done well in both of two fields. More important was that I had learned lots of things in this process, enhanced my ability and became more confident. So I think it was the most honorable.

Q2. Give an example that you worked with a team to achieve a difficult/important goal.
In October of 2003, I planed and organized a large-scale activity of pleasance，named “Chemical Zone”. That’s the one of the series activities of the SCUT in that month. The “Chemical Zone” faced to the 3,700 freshman and I commanded nearly 20 persons to complete this project. It was the first time that our college in charge of a activity of such scale, so we had no similar experience to use for reference. That the critical problem.
I lead my team to think of the project carefully. We supposed sever emergencies and prepared the plans. We discussed for lots of times and overcome lots of difficulties. After one month’s hard work we finally successes and I have learned many things which I can’t study from the textbooks in this project. That was the biggest non-academic achievement.

Q3. Describe an event where you were in a dilemma/difficulty and had to make a decision. Also mention what made you arrive this decision.
I was a monitor in the academic year of 2002~2003. In this period, I was twice in charge of choosing the person who should get the scholarship through public appraisal. This process is sensitive and often it will make the classmates become unfriendly between each other. So I tried my best to complete this task fairly. At one time, one of my classmates begged me to increase her exam achievement privately, so she could get the scholarship. I was felling in love with this girl then and indeed I really want to help her. But at last moment I refused her because I knew that the reason why my classmates trust me very much was that I always upright and honest. Because of the trust, they cooperated with my job and thus I performance well on my job. If I help this girl privately, I betrayed my classmates. I can’t do that.

Q4. Describe a situation where you came up with the most creative idea to solve a problem or to lead to the success to the activity/project.
My tutor sends me a task of developing an industry technology, synthesizing aqueous polyurethane dispersion with solid content of 35%. Centennially it was a challenge to me. I worked very hard for more than one year. In this one year, I failed for many times in lab. Every time after failing, I thought about the experiment and analysis the results carefully, and then took my own opinion and idea to discuss with my tutor. Often my idea was agreed with my tutor or helped him to understand something, including some key problems. At last this project succeeded and the products was very popular in Shenzhen. I think I had played an important role in this project.

Q5. Give an example when you encountered a failure, and how you reacted to it.
I failed when the first time I tried to pass the test of CET-6. I very disappointed because I have prepared for a long time for this test. Not only there were some mistakes in my review method, but also my English level was poor in fact. Most of my classmates didn’t passed this test and they thought that I would failed again next time, because lots of persons said that if you failed in first time, you will fail for ever. However, I didn’t believe this and give up. I kept trying, doing a lot of exercises such as reading English newspaper and novel, watching English movies and so on. At last, I successfully passed the text in the second time. I was proud of myself and my classmates also admire me.
