1. 原句：Although he is over 65, he is very fit and still enjoys working. (Line 1)
although=though,“虽然”，意义相同，用法基本一样，引导让步状语从句，可放主句前面或者后面，不能与______________连用，但可以使用yet.
eg. ____________________________ he was sixty, (yet) he began to learn French.
= He began to learn French, ___________________________ he was sixty.
虽然他已经60了，但是还开始学了法语。
even though：“即使,就算…”，有退一步设想的意思，强调让步。
eg. I’ll go there even though it rains tomorrow. 即使明天下午我还是要去。

tie sth./sb. to sp. 把某物/某人系到某处
