Lesson 30 Grandma’s Birthday Party
【教学目标】
1.能够掌握课标要求的“四会”词汇:set,fun。
2.让学生了解更多与介绍生日宴会有关的用语。
3.让学生了解不同的庆祝生日的方式。
【教学重难点】
1.掌握一些与生日宴会有关的词汇:party,set,talk,laugh,play,present,fun。
2.运用所学知识介绍生日宴会的准备情况。
3.掌握以下重点句子:
①My family is having a party.
②My sister Lynn is playing with my cousin,Heidi.
③My grandma is old,but she likes to have fun.
④We are all happy.

一、创设情境,切入主题
Step 1:Lead-in
Lead-in by discussing the following questions:
1.Where do they have the birthday party?
2.What is Grandma’s favourite present?
Discuss the questions in groups.Divide the class into three or four groups to finish the task.After several minutes,let some students come to the front to show it.
二、展开过程,探究新知
Step 2:Listening
Listen to the tape and answer the following questions:
1.What are Jenny’s mother and aunt doing?
2.Who is Jenny’s grandma dancing with?
Finish the task in class orally.
Step 3:Reading
Read the lesson and answer the following questions:
1.What is Bob doing?
2.What are Lynn and Heidi doing?
Finish the task in class orally.
Read the lesson again,and let the students retell the lesson in their own words.Let the students sum the main idea of the lesson.
Step 4:Activities
Suppose you want to introduce your birthday party.Write a short note.
Finish the task in groups.Then after a few minutes,let some groups show their notes in front of the class.
Step 5:Come to“Let’s Do It!”
Listen to the tape and finish Exercise 1 together.Read the lesson and answer the questions in Exercise 2.
Ask the students to finish Exercise 3 by themselves.
三、布置作业
Finish Exercise 4 in“Let’s Do It!”.
