《Unit 7 What does he look like?》 词汇教学课 设计方案 (第一课时 1a-2b) 教师行为 学生学习活动 设计意图 (一)创设情境,导出课题 Show a picture(poster) of Yao Ming to the students.Ask the students: Do you know who he is? Yes,you are right.Do you like him? I like him,too.Can you tell me something about him in English? What does he look like? Can you describe him?  Yes,I do.He is Yao Ming. Yes,I do. Yes,I can. He is tall. 从姚明海报入手,创设创设问题情境,感知课题的意思,从而导出课题。 (二)呈现图片记单词,连词成句造句型 1、Show pictures to present one type of describing people’s looks ( tall /short/of medium height) tall---Yao Ming is tall. What does Yao Ming look like? Short---Pan Changjiang is short. What does Pan Changjiang look like? of medium height—Li Yong is of medium height. What does Li Yong look like? 2、Show pictures to present one type of describing people’s looks(heavy / thin /of medium build) heavy---Li Qi is heavy. What does Li Qi look like? thin---Gong Hanlin is thin. What does Gong Hanlin look like? of medium build—Zhao Benshan is of medium height. What does Zhao Benshan look like? 3、Show pictures to present one type of describing people’s looks(long hair/short hair/straight hair/curly hair) long hair + curly hair + brown hair=long curly brown hair—Li Yong has long curly brown hair. What does Li Yong look like? Short air+straight hair+black hair=short straight black hair---Yao Ming has short straight black hair. What does Yao Ming look like? 4、Ask the whole class to read the words and target language together. tall---Yao Ming is tall. He is tall. Short---Pan Changjiang is short. He is short. of medium height—Li Yong is of medium height. He is of medium height. heavy---Li Qi is heavy. He is heavy. thin---Gong Hanlin is thin. He is thin. of medium build—Zhao Benshan is of medium height. He is of medium build. long hair + curly hair + brown hair=long curly brown hair—Li Yong has long urly brown hair. He has long curly black hair. Short air+straight hair+black air=short straight black hair---Yao Ming has short straight black hair. He has short straight black hair. Read the words and target language together. 用学生感兴趣和熟悉的明星图片教学10个新单词和一个目标语言。 (三)听说先行、巩固新知 1、1a Ask students to read the list of words,then match the words with the people in the picture. 2、1b Listening: Can you find Amy’s friend? 3、Ask students to describe the people’s looks according to the picture.Then ask several pairs to act their dialogues out in class. 4、2a Listen and circle “is”or”has”. Listen again,fill in the chart. Explain the differences between “is”and “has”. Get students to drill the sentences according to the chart. Match the words with the people.After it,one student,read words and the other student,read the letters. First time,only listen; the second time,fill in the blanks and find Amy’s friend. Describe the people’s looks . Act out in class. Listen and circle. Liaten and fill. Understand and remember. Drill the sentences. 通过活动1a中的图片检查单词的识记情况,并通过听力音频来检查学生对单词及目标语言的读音掌握情况。 听力训练既是对知识的巩固,也为下一步的任务输出提供了输入材料。 (四)读写跟进、合作学习 1、Ask students to complete the dialogue.Call attention to the dialogue in the box ang the picture. 2、Check and answer. 3、Read together。 4、Writing Ask students to work in groups to describe one student of their own group.Then ask them to report the result they talk about and ask other students to guess who he/she is. Complete the dialogue. Check. Read. Work in groups Pairwork这个教学环节,学生编写对话并熟练描述别人的外貌特征,并能根据别人的描述指出他或她是谁。 Groupwork这个教学环节中学生能运用所学知识进行写作,来描写一个组员,然后读出来,其他组员根据描述猜出这个组员。合作中不同程度的学生均有所获,能有效遏制两极分化。 (五)交流收获,自我总结 New words and target language. Do them in class carefully. 一方面巩固所学知识,另一方面灵活运用知识。 (七)拓展延伸、丰富知识 Surf the Internet to master more ways to describe a person. Search and add the ways to describe a person. 开放性的作业设置锻炼了学生的多方面能力。 6
