Step 2 重点语法知识用法小结
1、whose用来对物主代词及名词所有格进行提问：
1）提问形容词性的物主代词。
如：These are my bananas. →Whose bananas are these?
2）提问名词性的物主代词。
如： That bedroom is mine. →Whose is that bedroom?
Hers are in the classroom. → Whose are in the classroom?
3）提问名词所有格（不包括of构成的所有格）。
如：Those are the twins’ bags. → Whose bags are those?
Tom’s mother is a good teacher. → Whose mother is a good teacher
2、must; might; can’t; could 等词的用法。
1）must “必须”
--Must I clean the classroom now? 我必须现在打扫教室吗？
—No, you needn’t. (注意：否定用needn’t作答)
2）must 表推测 “必定、一定、肯定”
It must be Lucy’s schoolbag because her ID card is in it.
It must belong to Carla.
3) musn’t “不允许：绝对不可”
You musn’t smoke here.
You may look at it , but you musn’t touch it.
4) may ,might 的用法
（1）表示“允许” 意为“可以”，例如：
You may leave now.
（2）表推测，意为“可能，或许” 例如：
Your pen may /might be in your schoolbag.
你的钢笔可能在你的书包里。
（3）might 是may 的过去式，语气更加委婉、客气。
Might I use your pen for a while?
我可以用会儿你的钢笔吗？
5）could（can的过去式） 能，会; 可能
He could not ride a bike two years ago.
Could you help me?
It could be a bear or a wolf.
6) can’t 不能； 不可能（表可能性）
The boy can’t answer the question.
The man in the room can’t be Tom, because Tom has gone to Shanghai.
Step 3 Practice 4a and 4b
Ask the students to finish 4a carefully. First the students do the exercises by themselves, then they may discuss in groups.
