The Aderverbial Clause of Time -----望海燕(October 25,2017) Teaching aims: 1, Teacher helps to present the basic grammar sentence structures by showing the sentences on the Bb. 2, Ss learn and master the basic sentence structures by finishing the activity tasks on P121. 3, Ss finish the grammar exercises to further master the points Teaching important and difficult points: 1, Ss learn and master the grammar sentence structures in advance. 2, Ss can finish the grammar activities perfectly on P121. Teaching procedures: Step1 Revision 1, Ask one student to read the words of Unit8 on P140, then teacher points out some important ones to briefly explain again. 2, Teacher questions about the points in the dialogue & everyday English orally.. ①search ___ information online/ on the internet/ from the internet ②你经常上网吗? ③你每天上网多长时间? ④区分 a few / a little ⑤It’s about using the internet. Step2 Presentation 1,Teacher writes down the following sentences on the Bb , then ask Ss to turn to P64-65 in Unit4, and teacher help to find where they are. ①My brother hasn’t eaten any food for 24 hours. My brother hasn’t eaten any food since yesterday. ②I have lived here____ten years. I have lived here____ I was born. ③It has been ten years _____ I last came to New York. She has visited many places in New York______ she went there. 2,Teacher helps to explain the above sentences. 3,Teacher writes down another three groups on the Bb., then ask Ss to finish as requires( Teacher gives some help) ①It was raining outside at 8:00yesterday morning. I got up at 8:00. 时间状语从句→It was raining outside when I got up at 8:00 (yesterday morning.) ②My mother was cooking. My father came back yesterday. (用“when”连接两个简单句变成时间状语从句。) ③He will come back tomorrow. I will tell him about it. (二合一改为状语从句) Step3 New teaching(时间状语从句) Grammar focus 1, Ss turn to P121 and ask one student to read the five sentences ,then explain 2, Ask another student to pick out the key-word that leads the adverbial clause of time in each sentence as the example. eg: When we come back, we’ll enjoy … 3,Ask Ss to find out “主将从现”. Activity13 1,Ask Ss to finish the task as requires , teacher gives an example eg: You should buy a map + before you travel to a new city. … 2,Check answers.,then Ss read them together. Activity14 1,Teacher leads to read the clauses in the box and expain. 2,Help to complet the first blank as an example. 3,Chek answers ,and divide the whole class into two groups to act it out.
