Unit 5 How old are you?
第一课时
一、教学内容:
Story time
二、教学目标:
1. 能听懂、会说、会读、会写词汇nine, eight, ten, one ,two .there.
2. 能听懂、会说、会读词汇one, two, three, nine, eight, ten, lovely, toy.
3. 能听懂、会说、会读日常用语与句型How old are you? How lovely. I’m ten. Here you are.
4. 能互相询问各自的年龄。
三、教学重点:
句型:How old are you? I’m ten.
词汇:nine, eight, ten, one ,two .there.
四、教学难点:
句型:Here you are. How lovely在情境中的正确使用。
词汇:eight, nine ,ten, lovely的读音与用法。
五、教学准备:
1. 挂图、多媒体。男孩、女孩图片, 玩具卡片.
2 .学生各自带玩具。
六、教学过程:
Step 1 Warming up
1. Greeting T: Class begins.
Ss: Stand up.
T:Good morning , class.
Ss: Good morning, Miss Zhu
T:How are you?
S:Fine,thank you.And you?
T:I’m fine,too.
2 .Free talk
(1)T: Boys and girls, look, there are some teachers here. Let’s say “Welcome to our English class” .
Teach: Welcome to our English class. 欢迎来到我们的英语课堂。
Let’s read together : Welcome

(2)T: Boys and girls.Look at the dog. \
S: How nice!
T:Anything else?
S:It’s nice. It’s great.
T:We can also say “How lovely”

Step 2 Presentation
1、教授数字one、two、three、eight、nine、ten
T: How many Indian boys are there in the song ?
Ss : Ten. T: Yes. There are ten boys in the song.
Teach: ten
T: Now can you count from one to ten ?
Ss count :” one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.”
T拿着数字卡片: Today we will learn these numbers.(呈现单词卡片)
读一个拼读一个数字 学生跟读单词。
T: Look at these numbers, let’s spell them by yourselves ? Then let’s have a match. Who can spell the word best ? OK? Ss: OK
Ss 自己拼读数字单词。
学生回答:n-i-n-e T: How wonderful! This is for you. Here you are.(给礼物小卡片)
S:one/ two/ three/ eight/nine/ten
2. 教授How old are you? I’m…..
T: You are very good.Now look at the Indian boy again . You can ask him some questions.
Ss自由发挥(他叫什么名字?/ ···/ 他几岁了?)
如问到name: Lovely boy/ girl, look, what’s his name? Ss: Bob.
如问到age: Wonderful boy/ girl, listen, how old is he?
录音: I’m ten .
(如果学生问不出,就自己说I have a new question, listen, how old are you(对着屏幕问) , Bob? 引出I’m ten.)
T: So Bob is ··· Ss: Ten.
Ss read “ I’m ten.”
T: Bob is ten. What about you ? How old are you ?
S: I’m ten. T: Oh, I see.
Teach : How old are you ? Ss 开火车——齐读
T: How old are you ? Ss: I’m nine.
T: Hello, XX. S: Hello, Miss Zhu.
T: How old are you ? S: I’m nine/ ten. How old are you ?
T: Shh. It’s a secret. You can ask your partner” How old are you?”
S1: How old are you ? S2: I’m nine/ ten.
T: OK, now you can work in pairs like this . Ss work in pairs.
学生在反馈时,教师可以问其他学生 How old is XXX? / Is he nine ? (学生理解即可)
3学习课文
(1)T: Boys and girls , from the dialogue we know XX is nine , XX is ten. (从学生对话中连接)Do you know how old are they? (PPT呈现Mike 一家的照片)
T: Now let’s watch the cartoon and find the answer “ How old is Mike/ Helen/ Tim ?” , OK?
T: Mike is ···. S: Nine.
Helen is ···. Eight
Tim is ···. Two
(2). T: We know Mike is nine, Helen is eight, Tim is two. But do you know where are they ? Let’s watch the cartoon again , then answer these questions ,OK?
Ss watch and answer.
Q1. Where are they ?
Q2 What does Mr Bear say?
Q3. What is the woman say to the children?
由Q1 引出 toy museum 玩具博物馆 (Ss read)
由Q2:引出 Welcome to Toy Museum.
由Q3 引出 Here you are. 给你。 Here you are. =This is for you.
(3). T: Boys and girls , there are many toys in the toy museum, do you know which toy is for Mike,. which is for Helen, which is for Tim ? Now please read after the computer.
Ss: This dog is for Helen. / This robot is for Mike./ This panda is for Tim.( 学生练说This ···is for ···)
Step3 Consolidation
1、自读课文 Boys and girls , we know this dog is for Helen. This robot is for Mike.This panda is for Tim.Why is the robot for Mike , not for Tim? Why is the panda for Tim, not for Helen . Now let’s read the text by yourselves then find the answers.
T: Yes. You are a clever boy/ girl. Because the robot and dog are for the children of the ages from 6-10, Mike is nine, and Helen is eight. So the robot and dog are for them. But the panda is just for the children of the ages from 2-5, Tim is only two, so he gets the panda. Now are you clearly, yes or no?
3、Read after me.
4、分角色朗读(Mr Bear 、Mike、Helen、Tim、The woman)
