Warming up
T:This unit the importance are talking about different customs and manners all over the world .for example in China ,we usually shake hands when we meet someone for the first time ,but in other countries they may bow or kiss. Then who will tell us the customs like this? What customs have you learned?
S1:I know in Japan and Korea they usually bow, but in America they should shake hands.
S2: In Mexico,people usually shake hands for the first time,but in Brazil they usually kiss.
S3:In Switzerland it’s very important to be on time,so you’d better not to be late when you meet friends in Switzerland.

T:Just now, we’ve reviewed some manners and customs, today we’ll continue to learn Unit 10 Section B. This lesson,the importance are talking about table manners. First let’s take a quiz.
Step 2Taking a quiz
Open your books, turn to Page 77.look at the quiz in 1a. there are 5 manners in the quiz. Do you know them?you must read and translate them,then circle T for true or F for false. Then let’s complete 1a alone.
Check the answers together.
T: Let’s look at the first one, is it true or false?
S1: I think it’s F and give his translations.
T: Who agrees with him?
Ss: some don’t agree.
T: ask who has different answers?
S2: I think it’s T.
T: This custom is very unusual, is it true or false. Don’t worry,let’s watch a short film. Then play the film about table manners in India.
Then I’m sure you all know the answer.
Ss: Yes, it’s true.
T: let’s look at the second.
S: translate and give the answer.
T: Have you ever stick your chopsticks into the food?

Step3 useful words and expressions
T: Look at the quiz,there are some useful words and expressions.Can you find them in it?Show the Chinese.
Ss: Take out the exercise book and finish the task alone. One go to the blackboard to write.

教学后记 这节课主要围绕中国的餐桌礼仪这个话题展开活动,从中体会文化习俗,语言搭配运用,并进行相应的听说训练。为了让学生更好进入新课,我采取了回顾SectionA 中出现的各国礼仪风俗的方式进行了导入和情景创设。让学生自然走入新课,并运用部分重点短语进行初步的交流。这为本课的成功展开打下了良好的伏笔.本课还有一点让我满意的就是听力训练之前的推测式的交流表达,这不仅降低了听力的难度,培养了学生听力的技巧,更让学生对接下来的听力内容有了期待,有了信心,对所学的内容有了一定的机会去运用,可谓一举多得。
