一、教学目标
知识目标:
1)掌握11个单词(wonder, band, review, ancient, composition, grade, pyramid, pupil, meeting, call, event)和2个词组(listen up, do an interview with)
2)理解和体会一般现在时、一般过去时、一般将来时、现在进行时、现在完成时的语意功能。
技能目标:
1)听:通过听力,获取与话题Wonders of the world有关的信息。
2)说:能够围绕Wonders of the world的话题进行交流,进行情景对话。
3)读:正确朗读对话,在朗读中体会句子的语意、学会正确的断句等。
情感态度与价值观目标:
培养学生对神奇大自然的热爱,对伟大的人类文明的热爱。提高对英语的学习兴趣,实现语言结构与运用能力的全面转型。参加各种英语活动,克服困难,在新环境中进一步树立准确的语言学习观。
二、教学重点和难点
重点:通过训练学生的听、说、读、写能力,复习掌握所学过的现在进行时,过去进时,一般现在时,一般过去式,一般将来时,现在完成时。
难点:掌握所学的各种时态形式和找出适合自己的学习方法。
三、教学过程
Step 1 Warm up (Activity 1)
T: What are natural wonders?
What are manmade wonders?
(Natural wonders are the objects that are naturally made or formed and cause you a feeling of strangeness, surprise, etc. Manmade wonders are the objects that are created by people.)
教师出示图片,引导学生完成Activity 1的图片连接。
Step 2 Answer and listen (Activity 2)
●Read the words in the box and check that students know the meaning and pronunciation.
●Tell students to work with their desk partner to answer the questions.
●Play the recording for students to listen to and check their answers to the questions. Play the recording a second time if necessary.
Step 3 Listen and read (Activity 3)
Ask students to listen to the recording.

Step 4 Answer the questions (Activity 4)
●学生两人一组问答。Tell students to work with a partner to answer the questions from memory.
●学生朗读对话,检查答案。Have students check their answers by reading the text again.
Step 5 Complete the sentences (Activity 5)
●Let the students understand the meaning of the words in the box.
●Let students complete the sentences with the words and check answers in class.
Step 6 Listen (Activity 6)
●Play the recording for students to listen to and mark the pauses. Play it twice if necessary.
●Play it again for students to listen to and repeat.如:
I've never seen it,/so I'm not sure/I agree with you.
Step 7 Work in pairs (Activity 7)
本活动要求学生以“世界奇观”为话题,根据例句编写对话,要灵活运用Activity 3中的句式。最后分小组展示对话。
●Put pairs together to form small groups. Make a list of wonders of the world. Ask students to decide which wonders they would like to visit and give a reason.
●When they have finished speaking, tell them to write down.如:
…would like to visit the pyramids in Egypt because they are very old and mysterious.
…would like to visit Zhangjiajie because he has never been there.
