【教材分析】
    本课选自小学英语EEC教材五年级上，主要是通过情境会话，让学生重点掌握时间的英文表达对于来自于哪Where are you from?及其回答，家乡是学生最熟悉的内容，学生要学会运用本课所学知识来表达时间。而本节课的难点是让学生怎么样表达具体，教师要及时对学生使用错误的地方进行纠正。
【学情分析】
    五年级的学生已经学习了日常用语的基本表达，学生经过三四年的英语学习，已经有了一定的经验，具备较强的听说能力，对日常生活中各个场景所用句型都有了初步的了解，能够在不同的场景中使用英语进行对话，在本节课中，学生的交际能力得到了充分的发挥。但学生刚刚步入五年级，教师在注重听说能力的同时，也要加强对学生读写能力的培养，使学生的英语能力得到全面的发展。
【教学目标】
    1．让学生掌握问国家所使用的语言：询问句子Where are you from ? 及介绍朋友的表达。
    2. 通过学习让学生了解一些西方国家表达习惯。
    3. 通过本节课的学习，从全方面让学生了解世界。
Ⅰ Preparation
    1.Greeting：T:Good morning，class.S:Good morning，Miss He.
    T:How are you today? S:Fine,thanks.And you?
T :Nice to meet you. S:Nice to meet you,too.
2.Free talk.

设计意图：在学生平时熟悉的问题进入教学，消除学生的紧张感。
并通过教师和学生，学生和学生之间互动，来复习过去所学习的旧句型。
Ⅱ Presentation

1. Study new words and sentences.
Show some pictures of the new lesson , Through the observation, the questions, Make students understand the background.
Picture 1 Who are he? He's Xi Yangyang.
Where is he from? He's from China.He is Chinese.
Picture 2 Where is she from? Is she Chinese?
No, she isn’t. She is from Australia.
Picture 3 Who are they ? They are Hui Tailang and 
Hong Tailang.
Where are they from? They are from the USA. 
Picture 4 Where is he from?
He is from Canada. He is Canadian.
Show the new words ,and practice.（设计意图：教师采用创设情境输入的教学方法，充分操练本课重点单词，使学生完全掌握这个单词的读音和拼写，并且达到部分学生通过反复操练，能够背诵出这个句型。）
Ⅲ Practice
1．Ask and answer.
T: Hello,Where are you from?
S:I'm from ....
T: Nice to meet you.
S: Nice to meet you,too.
教师做好各个国家的卡片，抽卡片问答。
2．黑板上贴有画好的世界地图，让学生上来帖国家地图相对应的国 旗，然后问答练习所学句型。（设计意图：变角色练习，找图片等活动，整体练习课文中的所有内容，让学生在练习中体会到句子使用的整体性和连贯性。）
3.Listen to the tape and follow the tape .
4．Act out .(拿上做好的国旗，形象具体，身临其境）
5.Homework.
