一、动词:
1. donate v. give (money, goods), esp to a charity, contribute sth. 捐赠, 赠予
Donate sth. to sb. /sth.=give away
e.g. He donated large sums to relief organization. 他向救济组织捐赠了巨款.
donation n. 捐赠物( 可数名词); 捐赠 (不可数名词)
2. suffer v. experience or undergo sth. unpleasant 遭受(痛苦, 困难)
Suffer from / with / for sth.
e.g. 1. Do you suffer from headache ? 你头疼吗?

3. They sent relief to those poor people. 他们给那些穷人发送救援物资.
relieve v. 减轻或解除痛苦; 提供救援
e.g. 1. The drug will relieve your discomfort.

9. victim n. person ,animal or thing that is injured, killed or destroyed 受害人, 牺牲者
e.g. earthquake / accident victims 地震/事故的受害者
10. curiosity n. 好奇心(不可数名词)
Satisfy one’s curiosity 满足某人的好奇心
Curious adj. 富于好奇心的, 有求知欲的 be curious about sth. / to do sth.
e.g. 1. I’m curious to know what she said.
