【教学目标】
1．能够掌握课标要求的“四会”词汇：stupid，smart，impossible，weak
2．了解如何用英语介绍学习和生活中的困惑。
3．介绍自己的困惑。
【教学重难点】
1．掌握一些与介绍学习和生活困惑有关的重点词汇：common，stupid，mistake，bad，impossible
2．激发学生兴趣，让学生运用所学知识介绍自己的困惑。
3．掌握以下重点句子：
①She is good at everything.
②...and I’m sure you are a good friend.
③Don’t be too hard on yourself for making mistakes.
④The important thing is to learn from your mistakes.

一、创设情境，切入主题
Step 1　Lead－in
Lead in by discussing the following questions：
What are your strong points and weak points？
Did you ever write to a doctor or another person for help？
Show some pictures of strong or weak points.Let the students discuss the questions in groups.Then present their results in front of the class.The styles are different.They can be dialogues or reports.
二、展开过程，探究新知
Step 2　Listening
Listen to the tape and know about the main points of the passage.At the same time，fill in the blanks with the words you hear.
1.The Sad Girl is good at________.
2.Lisa is________and smart.
3.Sue asks her to make a________and read it every day.
Finish the task in class in oral.
Step 3　Reading
Read the passage and answer the following questions.
How does the Sad Girl feel about herself？
What does Sue tell the Sad Girl to think about？
How can we face the mistakes according to Sue’s idea？
Read the passage and finish the task in class in oral.
Step 4　Practice
Make a note to introduce your strong or weak points.
Work in groups to finish the task.After a while，let some groups present their notes in front of the class.
When the students are writing，the teacher walks around the classroom to solve the problems that probably happen.
Step 5　Come to “Let’s Do It！”
Read the lesson again and ask the students to do Exercise 1.Listen to the tape and finish off Exercise 2 together.
三、布置作业
1.Finish off Exercise 3 in “Let’s Do It！”.
2.Write a note to introduce your strong and weak points.
