1.Do you read newspapers and magazines in your spare time? How do you get the information from them? Do you read every character or word?
2. Skimming Skimming means reading the text quickly to get the main idea.
Step 3 Presentation
1.教师告诉学生,略读文章时要关注其标题,小标题,第一段,最后一段以及每一段的首句,以便迅速找到所需要的信息,无需阅读并理解文章的每一词。
2.教师简单的解释课本17页练习的语境Millie has found an article in a magazine. Skim the article to find the main idea. Use the question to help you.
3.Read the question on P17.
Step 3 Practice
1. 指导学生根据三个问题的关键词分别在第一,第二和第三段中寻找信息,要求他们尽快找到答案。提醒他们不必也读并理解文章的每一个单词。可采取竞赛的形式,激发学生的积极性,让他们体会到略读这种方法带来的成就感。
2. 挑选三个学生大声朗读三个问题,另外三个回答,全班朗读文章。
