Review what the students learned last class. (5’) 1.Excuse me, could you please tell me how to get to the bookstore? 2.just go along Main street until you pass Centre Street. The bookstore is on your right, beside the bank. 3.Excuse me, do you know where I can get some postcards? 4.Go to the second floor. There’s a bookstore between the bank and the supermarket. 2. Pairwork. Do 4a , rewrite the questions to make them more polite. Where can I buy some grapes or other fruit ? Could you tell me where I can buy some grapes or other fruit ? 3.领读单词,学生熟练掌握。 Step 2: 导入 Alice and He Wei are in Space World . They have great fun . Step 3: New lesson 1.Ask students to read the conversation and answer the questions:5’ The Ss can read alone first . Then they can discuss the questions in groups . (1) why did Alice not want to go on the new ride? How did she feel after the ride? (2) What is special about Uncle Bob’s restaurant? Should Alice and He Wei get there early for dinner? Why? 2.Explain the conversation: (10’) (1) come on (2) hold my hand (held-held) (3) on one’s way to (4) pass by Uncle Bob’s (5) walk up to a staff person (6) a little earlier (7) I wonder where I should go next. (8) I was scared at first, but shouting did help. (9) You never know until your try something. (10) Excuse me, could you tell us when the band starts playing this evening? (11) How about that new ride over there? Step 4: Grammar Focus Ask students to remember the sentences in Grammar focus. Step 5: Do 4b. Do 4b: What should each person ask in the following situations? (3’) e.g. Could you tell me where I can get something to eat? Excuse me, can you tell me how I can get to a nearby restaurant? Pardon me, do you know if there’s a restaurant around here? Step 6: do 4c: make conversations with partner. (5’) A: Excuse me, could you please tell me where the nearest bank is? B: Sure. You go east along this street… Step 7: Summary Step 8: Homework: 熟记本节课所学单词 背诵本课时的重点短语。
