Unit2 Hobbies can make you grow as a person 一、 教学内容:Unit2 Hobbies can make you grow as a person. 二、 课型:Reading and writing 三、 教学目标: 1、能够正确使用下列单词和词组: person, interest, skill, activity, sailing, result, pleasure, success,as a result, as well as, come out, develop one’s interest. 2、能够读懂关于大卫的爱好(David’s hobbies)的短文,捕捉主旨大意;能根据阅读任务获取细节信息。 四、 教学重难点: 1、能够读懂关于爱好的短文,捕捉主旨大意;能根据阅读任务获取细节信息。。 2、能够运用短语(as well as ,such as及as a result )和不同的简单句句型写一篇关于介绍同班同学的爱好(My classmate’s hobby)的短文。 五、 教学准备: 课堂整体运用任务型教学模式以及阅读课“四个阶段”教学模式。本课指导学生通过阅读获取信息,培养学生阅读技能。在教学过程中,采用多媒体手段辅助教学,利用各种图片和习题任务贯穿整个教学过程。因此,本节课需准备:PPT课件、挂图、录音机、课堂练习表格、奖品。 六、 教学过程: 教学 步骤 教师活动 学生活动 设计意图 Step One Warming-up (3’) 1.Lead in (1)Revision Have two students make a report about their passages about their hobbies. Then ask other students two questions: What’s their hobbies? What do you think of their hobbies? (2) Talk about the hobbies. Show students some kinds of hobbies and have them talk about them. 1. (1)Listen and answer the questions. (2)Look and talk. 叫两个学生念上节课的课后作业——介绍自己的爱好,其他学生听然后回答问题,既复习了Unit 1的内容又让学生快速进入本课的话题,然后谈论其他的爱好在训练了学生的反应同时也为新课做好铺垫,并在无形中培养学生大胆说英语的习惯。 Step Two Pre- reading (5’) 1.Show students the picture of Activity3 and other pictures. Lead the students to describe them and present new words in sentences and teach them as well. 2.Have students guess: Look at the picture and guess :What is the boy doing? What’s his hobby? 1.Watch and try to describe the pictures and learn some new words . 2.Guess what David’s hobby is. 引导学生谈论图片,训练学生描述图片的能力。在描述的同时学习新单词和句型,尽量做到词不离句,为学生扫清阅读障碍。 通过猜测,激发学生产生阅读的愿望和心理。 Step Three While- reading (24’) Step Three While- reading (24’) 1. Skimming Ask students to skim the passage and find out the main idea of it. 2. Scanning(group work) (1)Ask students to scan the passage ,check the true sentences and correct the false ones as well. (2)Call back the answers. 3.Careful reading. (1)Paragraph 1: ①Choose the best answers ②Let the students read Paragraph 1 in groups of four and find out difficulties. ③Solve the difficulties. T: What’s David’s hobby? What did he do after he came back from the camp? Let’s continue learning Paragraph2& 3. (2)Paragraph 2 &3: ①Complete the notes in the table after reading Paragraph2 & 3 . ②Ask a student to be “a little teacher” to check the answers. ③ Let one team students read Paragraph2 & 3 and the other students listen carefully to point out important points. ④Solve the difficulties. T: We know that writing is one of David’s hobbies.What other things does he like doing? Read Paragraph 4 and find the answer. (3)Paragraph 4: ①Let the students read Paragraph4 and answer the questions in pairs. ②Let the students ask and answer in pairs to check their answers. ③Ask a group of six students to read paragraph 4. Let the other students listen carefully and find out difficulties. ④Solve difficulties. T: Let’s read the letter together. 1.Skim the passage and choose the main idea. A. Many students have hobbies. B. David’s hobbies. C. David has become a successful young writer. D. David has been very lucky. 2.Scan the passage, check the true sentences and correct the false ones as well in groups. a.Hobbies can make you grow as a person,develop your interests and help you learn new skills. b.David spent five weeks at a summer camp. c.David’s book came out in 2013. d.David’s hobby has brought him pleasure and success. Hobbies can help them learn new skills. D. Above all. ②Read Paragraph 1 in groups of four and find out difficulties. ③Solve the difficulties together. (2)①Complete the notes in the table after reading Paragraph2 & 3 in groups. (3)Read Paragraph 4 and answer the questions: ① Find out the answer to the question: Why did the writer think David was lucky? What’s his plan? ②The students ask and answer in pairs. ③A group of six students to read paragraph 4. The other students listen carefully and find out difficulties. ④Say the difficulties and solve them. 要求学生快速阅读文章,选出课文的主题大意,培养学生的快速阅读技巧和获取文章整体信息的能力。 在学生抓住课文主题大意后,要求学生再次对课文进行跳读。使学生可以进一步理解文章,对篇章结构有更深层次的理解,为进一步学习做好铺垫。 让学生带着任务(问题)去阅读课文,去找答案,有助于学生更加准确地获取细节信息,提高阅读效果和获取细节信息技能。学生通过分层次阅读文章,获取具体信息,把知识点和课文理解在分段学习得以突破。而小组活动能通过学生间的自主、合作学习,让学生充分地实践运用语言,并激发学生创造性思维的发展。 Step Four Post- reading (10’) 1.Retell. ①Let the students complete the passage with the words in the box. ②Call back the answers from two students then read the short passage in the whole class . 2.Rewrite the sentences ①Look at the sentences with the phrases “such as,as well as and as a result”. ②Rewrite the sentences. 1.
