Chapter 2 A day in the life of … Listening 教学目标: Listening trainings about identifying a speaker’s occupation. Practise the listening skills. Be active in your life. 教学重点: Listen and identify a speaker’s occupation. 教学难点: Find out ways to hear as much as possible. 教学方法: The communicative method. 教学用具: A tape recorder; the multimedia 教学过程 Revision: Go over some occupations in Wendy’s bussiness. Try to tell more occupations in English. Presentition: Listen to the recording. You will hear six people talking about their daily lives. Write down the numbers 1-6 in the circles to show which person is talking. Practice: First look through the six pictures and understand the six different occupations. Make sure to know the exact meaning in Chinese. Then listen carefully for the first time. Write down as many answers as you can. Next listen again, the this time you should check the answers that you have given and give the answers that you didn’t have last time. Finally check the answers with the whole class. Drill: Look at the screen and fill in the blanks that you see. This passage is just the one you have heard, but it is changed into another form, mainly the teacher want to make you be sure what the whole passage is. Listen to the record for twice. And then check the answers with the class. Meanwhile try to think about the ways of how to improve your listening skills. For students if you can often think about ideas of learning things while you are learning something, you can make progress little by little, and at last you will certainly learn things well. 课堂小结: Learning the ways of improve listening skills is more important than just giving some suitable answers. 作业: Preview the language part.
