Show some cards.First read the consonants together,then ask several students to choose some cards to read aloud. 2.Listen to the tape.Read the words after it. Look at the words in Part A.Pay attention to the different sounds of the letters. Step four: A game Here are some words .Can you fill in the blanks as quickly as you can? e.g.ba___ bad bag cu__ cup cut fa___fan fat ___am jam ham __un run fun gun ___ate hate gate ___ast past last fast Now it’s your turn to make up some words.Please fill in different letters to make up the words in Part B.Please write as many as you can.You can discuss with your partner or look up them in your dictiondries.Let’s check the answers. Here are some sentences for you to read on Page39.Pay attention to the sounds of the letters in bold.Read in groups and choose the best. Step five: A rhme and a chant Here is a rhyme .can you read: Do you know Mary?Mary who?Mary snow. Of course I do.
