Lesson 19 A Story or a Poem? ┃教学整体设计┃ 【教学目标】 1.掌握单词compare,limit,format,rhyme,power,effort,fat,aloud,although,并能熟练记忆。 2.掌握文中的重点短语和句型: 重点短语:decide to do sth./compare with/come up with 重点句型:I don’t think so./It takes too much time to write a story./Sometimes writing less takes more effort than writing more. 3.理解课文意思并能回答课后的问题。 【教学重难点】 重点:掌握文中重点短语和句型: 难点:能准确应用本课中的词汇:compare,limit,format,rhyme,power,effort,fat,aloud,although;准确记忆本课中的典型句子。 【课前准备】 多媒体,黑板,录音机 ┃教学过程设计┃ 教学过程   一、创设情境,切入主题 Step 1:Warming up T:Hello everyone!Do you have a favourite poem or story?What was it? Ss:Yes,I have.My favourite story is The Little Girl Selling Matches. T:Have you ever tried to write a poem? Ss:Yes,I have ever tried to write a poem,but I failed.I think it is quite hard for us to write a poem by ourselves. T:En...Yes,it is not easy to write a poem.But don’t worry,in the next few days I will help you learn something about poems.Now open our text book,let’s begin our study about Lesson 19:A story or a Poem? 设计意图:新课开始,教师通过设计几个学生感兴趣的问题导入新课,能调动他们的学习积极性。   二、展开过程,探究新知 Step 2:Presentation 1.Teacher shows the words with PPT,and each PPT with a picture stands for the word we are going to learn:compare,limit,format,rhyme,power,effort,fat,aloud,although and then explains the meanings and the usages of these words.Make sentences with the words and explain the meanings. 2.Give the students five minutes to remember the words.And then the teacher picks out one of them.Let students spell and read them one by one. 3.The students read the text by themselves.Give the students several minutes to remember the dialogue,then let the student role play the dialogue,find out the main phrases and sentences in the dialogue. 设计意图:教师以PPT的形式学习新单词并单个记忆,使学生记得快。 Step 3:Drill Read the lesson and do Exercise 1 and Exercise 2 on Page 51. 设计意图:学生反复听磁带并跟读。第一次听,要求学生大概理解对话的意思。第二次听,改为一句一句听,仔细听每句话的内容。第三次听,完成上面的问题。通过反复听磁带并跟读培养他们的听说能力。 Step 4: Task 1 Explain the meaning of the whole text sentence by sentence,help the students remember the main phrases and the main sentences. 设计意图:让学生能抓住文中重点词汇和句型,善于归纳。 Task 2:Practice. T:Read the passage by yourselves and answer the following questions. Does Jenny think that writing a poem is easier than writing a story? What does Brain decide to write?A poem or a story? Does Danny agree with Jenny? Who has already finished his(or her)homework? 设计意图:锻炼学生们的阅读理解能力。 Task 3:Do Exercise 3 on Page 51. 设计意图:锻炼学生的思考能力,同时培养学生的语感。   三、布置作业 Try to write a poem about your favourite things in your place.Make sure that you are using the proper words. ┃教学小结┃ 【板书设计】 Lesson 19 A Story or a Poem?
