Greet the students . 2. Lead the students to say: What’s the matter? What’s wrong with you? What’s the trouble? What’s the problem? Revise the words and expressions and ask some students to role-play the conversation in 2d. Lead the students to find out the new words, and master them. Get students to find out some difficult sentences and deal with them together. And ask students to read and translate it into Chinese. Explain the main language points. Read the passage again and check the things that happened in the story. Complete 3b and 3c. Learn the past progressive tense. S+ was/were +v-ing. Eg: A; What were you doing at eight last night? B: I was taking a shower. Make up the sentences about the past progressive tense. Fill in the blanks and practice the conversations in 4a. Complete 4b and 4c in group. Sum up the main points about this lesson. Teachers make a summary. A.B.C.Greet the teacher. Ask the students to say “What’s the matter?” in other ways. Write the words on the blackboard. Students A act it out in pairs. Students B read the passage first. Students can master the new words and phrases. Students C point out some difficult sentences, and understand them. Complete 3b and 3c. Read and check answers. Practice them in pairs. Find who can say more sentences. Do some exercises. Point out the main items together. Students can finish it carefully.
