1.Do 2a. Answer the question: It is a new year. It is on January first.
2. Learn the new words on the screen; Find out the changing rule of ordinal numbers.
3. Guess the missing word.

S1:I was born in + 时间
T:Where were you born?
S2: I was born in + 地点
T:When is your birthday?
S3：My birthday is ...
5. Listen and try to find the answers.
6. Read after the tape.
1.Show a picture of calendar and ask: When is it? What’s the date?(老师解释date的意思)Then help students answer the question.
2.Show the ordinal numbers on the screen and teach students for several times, and then ask students to find the forming rules and remind them to pay attention to the particular changes.
3.Play a game—Who is missing? (Show a group of ordinal numbers on the screen first, and put away one word).
4.Point out some questions (老师可用汉语解释第三个问题) and teach the new word birthday.
5. Repeat the question: When is your birthday? Let students know the meaning of the sentence. Then ask them to listen to the tape and pay attention to the questions: When is Kangkang’s birthday? How does he celebrate it?
6.Play the tape and let students follow the tape.

1.Read the dialog in pairs (in turns) and make up a new one. Then show it to the class.
2.Do 1b. Listen to 1a and match the questions with the correct answers. Then check the answers in pairs.
3.Do 2b. Try to answer the questions:

S1: It’s July the seventh, nineteen thirty seven.
4.Practice them by yourselves and talk about the videos in pairs.
1.Let students read the dialog in pairs. Then ask them to make up a new dialog in pairs according to 1a.
2.Give students 1minute to do 1b by themselves.
3.Show the video of the first picture in 2b and ask one question. Then choose one student to answer the question and lead students to know the different ways of expressing dates.(以下三幅图片以同样的形式教授，把两种日期的表达方式呈现在屏幕上)
4.Point out the other dates and let students practice them by using two expressing ways. Let students talk about the background knowledge about the four pictures.(老师补充相关的背景知识）

Show a picture in 3 and make a model: “When was Kangkang born? He was born on May 13th,2000.Where was he born？He was born in China.”(老师解释：某一日之前，介词用on; 某一年，某一月，某个地方之前，介词用in) Show the next three pictures and let students ask and answer in pairs.

Review ordinal numbers and the ways of expressing dates;
Copy the new words for five times;
Preview 1a & 3 in Section C.
