How many gold medals did we get in the 2004 Olympics?      第三步:巩固 1.放录音1a学生跟读,用铅笔标重读与语调。 2.擦去所标重读与语调,先自读,然后跟录音一起读,逐句核对。 3.人机对话,即学生和录音机对话。 学生独立学习, 判断1b中句子的正误, 完成1b。 4.小组活动,读1c, 讨论下面问题: What will be the best mascot for the Beijing Olympic Games? Teaching procedure:      Step 1 Review      1. Work in groups. Talk about what we did last Saturday and Sunday, and then ask one student from each group to introduce the things we did. Talk about what we will do next Saturday and Sunday, and then ask one student from each group to introduce the things we will do. Learn some words and phrases about the Olympics. Show Picture 1 and ask: What flag is it? (This is the Olympic rings.) How many rings are there? What colors are the rings? Did he get a gold medal in the Olympics?      4. Listen to 1a and answer the following questions, and learn the new words: gold, medal. When did China take part in the Olympics for the first time? How many gold medals did we get in the 2004 Olympics?      5.Let the students listen again and follow.      Step 3 Consolidation      1.Ask the students to listen to 1a. Ask them to mark the intonations.      2.Ask them to read with the tape together.      3.Work alone. Judge the sentences in 1b True or False. Finish 1b.      4.Work in groups. Read the passage in 1c and discuss the following questions: What will be the best mascot for the Beijing Olympic Games? I think the best mascot for the Beijing Olympic Games will be the panda.
