Step 1 Revision
Play a game to review the structure be allowed to do.
Step 2. You did a good job. This class let’s talk about what Kathy thinks.

Step 1.New words.

1. Students write as many sentences and reasons as they can.
2. Students talk about the sentences.
Revise the structure and lead in new lesson.

Step 2.2a
Point to the picture and ask students what is happening. Elicit(引出) answers from students.
Point to the lists of responses. Say ,You are to hear Kathy and Molly having a conversation .Kathy will make some statements. Listen and check what Kathy thinks and circle Agrees, Disagrees or Doesn’t know to show what Molly thinks. Point out the sample answers.
Step 3 2b.
Point to the list of reasons in the box . Invite a student to read them to the class.
Say, You are to hear the same conversation again. This time number their reasons in the correct order as you hear on the tape.
Step 4 Read the tapescript on P129.
Step 5 2c.
Read the instructions to the class. Ask students for suggestions that teenagers should and should not be allowed to do. Remind them to look back at Activities 1a and 2a.
Point to the sample conversation. Invite a pair of students to perform it to the class, completing the sentences.
III. Summary.
Ask , What have you learn this class?
IV. Homework.
Review the grammar box to get a further understanding of the target language.
V. Do some exercises.
1. Your idea sounds too silly. I ____ (agree) with you.

Students look through the statements in the chart.
Listen to the tape and circle.
Listen again. Number their reasons in the correct order.
Read the conversation for several times, then act it out.
Students might say,
1. Teenagers should be allowed to make their own decisions.
2. Teenagers shouldn’t be allowed to stay up.
S1: In this class, we’ve done a lot of listening and speaking practice using the target language.
S2. We’ve also talked about agreement and disagreement.
This activity provides practice in understanding the target language in spoken conversation.
