Step II Lead-in Do you like music? Do you like movies? What kind of music do you like best, and what’s your favorite movie? In this class, let’s talk about it. First, let’s listen to some kinds of music, do you know what kinds of music they are? (Pop songs and country music are played.) Listen to the music, guess and tell what kinds of music they are. Say out some other kinds of music if they can. Music makes the class more interesting and relaxing. 8’ 教师活动 学生活动 备注(教学目的、时间分配等) Step III Interactive activities There’s only one new word in this period. sink v. 下沉 sink—sank—sunk eg. Wood does not sink in water, it floats. 1. Fill in the chart. The teacher introduces the famous band “The Beatles”, then ask students to say some bands they know, like “SHE” and “FIR”. Let students sing a song of their favorite bands if they can. Talk about the books they love, especially nobles, like “Harry Potter” and so on. Retell the stories or say something about why they like the books. Talk about some movies in the same way. Movies like “Shrek” and “Hachi” may interest children. Write down the answers on their books. 2a.Listen and write down three things. Ask students to describe the picture first. Where are the two boys maybe in? What can you see in the picture? Can you say something about your own room? Then listen to the tape for only once, say out and write down the answers. 2b. Listen and fill in the chart. Listen to the tape again, pay attention to the reasons why Michael likes the things. Ask most of students to repeat the answers to consolidate Attributive Clauses. 2c. Groupwork. Discuss the bands, books and movies we mentioned before. Step IV Summary In this class we talked about something we like. You’d better see more movies, especially some English movies. Say the sentences by using the attributive clauses.
