Activity 1：Leading-in
1宣讲目标：We’re going to talk about wild animals today.
2 创设情况：呈现一幅美丽的图片,学习sky, land。
There are many wild animals in the world. Some live in the sky/sea. Some live on land.
Activity 2：Brainstorming
学生比赛轮流说出自己知道的动物名称，可根据老师给出的动物部位特征进行回答，也可自己自由表达。
Activity 3：学习新词。
利用猜测游戏引出学习dinosaur, bone, blue whale.
Activity 4：最高级的引出及学习。
1 承接上面的教学环节，复习比较级，由此过渡。
T：Which is bigger, a blue whale or a dinosaur?
Ss:__ is bigger than a ____.
Which is bigger, a blue whale or an elephant?
Ss:__ is bigger than a ____.

2 引出最高级。
An elephant is big.
A dinosaur is bigger than an elephant.
A blue whale is the biggest of the three.

3 学习用运用最高级。
给出三幅动物图，询问回答
A: Which is the biggest of the three, A, B or C?
B: __ is the biggest of the three.

Activity 5：学习介绍蓝鲸的特征及习性。
1 总描述。
Blue whales are the biggest animals in the world.

2具体讲解蓝鲸How big?
A：How long is it?
B: It can be more than 30 metres long.
A：How heavy is it?
B: It weighs over 150 tons.
学习新词: metre, weigh, ton, over.
通过Guessing Game，对难点It can be…metres long./It weighs…tons.进行意义性操练，并让学生理解over在句中的意思，突破难点。

3具体讲解蓝鲸Why so big?
They eat large animals , small fish and plants.
They eat four tons of food each day.

Activity 6：Dialogue learning

1播放动画视频，布置任务，让学生带着问题去理解对话。

2 给学生时间小组内读完对话并完成挖空练习。

Activity 7：Reading and guessing
读一篇小短文，提取信息推测描述的是什么动物。

1学生明确目标，理解wild animals。

2学生看图学习新词并理解老师的描述。

学习新词: metre, weigh, ton, over.
并运用老师提供的句型，去描述蓝鲸的重量和长度。理解over的意思。

3 学习怎样用英语描述蓝鲸的习性。
They eat large animals, small fish and plants.
They eat four tons of food each day.

1 学生观看对话抓取关键信息，回答问题。

2 学生小组读对话，完成填空。

读一篇小短文，提取信息推测描述的是什么动物。

创设情境为后面的教学活动做铺垫。
